Viking Books for Young Readers Llama Llama Mad at Mama

I got this entire series for my baby daughter. Excellent quality and service from the vendor.

Made a great read aloud and a good choice for talking about learning to regulate feelings. She loved the rhyming rhythms of the text and clearly related to the story. The gentle arc of the story leading to Llama lama's little meltdown in the store completely engaged her. You could see her enjoy the little thrill of seeing all the stuff go flying from the cart and then the relief when the mama llama helps the little llama calm down and work together to solve the problem. Can almost see the wheels turning in her head as she processes the ideas in the story. She's asked for it again and again.

Nice book to read. the whole text tells the story with rhymes. the story is about a baby llama getting really upset with his mama because she has taken him out shopping all day and he is tired of it (trying on clothes, picking out groceries...) and he throws a huge tantrum, throws stuff out of the cart, and then mama explains to him that she doesn't like shopping either, but she is so glad he is there with her, so the shopping trip turns out to be something they can accomplish as a team.great topic for toddlers.

Another favorite out of the llama llama series. My 2 year old loves to follow along and read the end words with me and laughs at how llama gets mad at mama but then hugs me and asks for a treat after reading the ending. Good lessons for young readers and good plot to keep their interests. Have purchased this story for each of my children.
