Absolute garbage. I thought I was buying a higher quality item. I was mistaken. They may be from German machines, but upon reading the box, they are from PRC—poorly rendered crap.7/11 broke upon removal/resituating. I have tacks from an 80 year old chair project I still use and they still hold up.

I used these nails in my first upholstery project. They look great on a chair covered with a copper penny colored leather. Nailing them straight down takes practice. Many bent or slipped off center at the last strike due to bending at the head-nail joint under the cap. Use needle nose pliers to set them as deep as possible, then one final strike on dead-center to drive them home. I found the Dritz Nail Spacer guide helpful in setting the proper spacing, but if you hammer in the full set of nails, twisting the guide out causes the nails to bend beyond repair.

The antique copper color is nice, and the nailheads are smooth and traditional-looking. The problem is that the pin or stem part is weak and most of them bent when I added them to the chairs. I've had to place them in different spots by hand (vs. little hammer thing) to keep them from bending.In short? Spend more and buy sturdier ones!
