The book gives you a complete view over the different types of financial markets (foreign currencies, money markets, bonds, equities, futures and options, and a few more) and also a bit of historical context on how and why they were created.I started reading this book because I wanted to learn about markets other than the stock market and I'm not disappointed. Even if you know about this subject it is a nice book to have around for a quick check of something you forgot.

Great quality summaries about asset classes. Digestible and a fantastic core reading before you want to get deeper knowledge about finance and financial markets.
