This seller has the best customer service! The battery box didn't work and the extension cord was missing. My messages were very quickly answered and the replacement parts sent. The very small photos in the way too small instruction booklet sometimes made it difficult to figure out. The writing was extremely small and printed over the plaid fabric in the instructions. I used the smallest amount of glue brushed on very thinly yet the walls and floor paper were lumpy. I changed the wall paper and replaced the plastic turkey with a purchased cake. I'm thrilled with the end result of my effort. This project requires a lot of patience and the more time spent on it the better. I personalized it by making paper frames and adding family photos. Somehow a box full of small bits and pieces is a great stress reliever. This is my second DIY mini and I'm addicted. Some reviews mention that the greenery came crushed. This “crushed” greenery is to be glued on a short piece of provided wire and then you bend it into a circle to form the wreath. The greenery is not damaged.

In the middle of making my 8th mini diy kit and I think I’m addicted! I have chronic foot pain and working on these little gems takes my mind off my feet! I am slowly learning to add my own touches. I’m making these Christmas rooms for each of our 3 children, putting as many kids’ pictures in as possible (in little frames of course). Having a Sprocket helps to get the photos the appropriate size. You have to be patient and creative as you go along. The end result is so satisfying. Didn’t like the sofa fabric so used some gold velvetine instead. The rug is cute but I cut mine as big as the material would allow. Also replaced tree. These aren’t complaints, I just enjoyed being creative and adding my personal touch. I got a lot of good ideas reading the reviews as well. I like the dust cover too. Any other kits I buy must have one.After completion: I decreased 5 stars to 4. After finishing, I realized the wires and battery pack were just hanging loose, so I made my own holder and glued it on, taping the wires down; not pretty, but gets the job done. The dust cover was a challenge as well. I tried many glues and finally settled on using Weld-on 3 using a very fine brush to join plexiglass. DO NOT use super glue or krazy glue as it will get foggy (as I found out with other covers). I studied many UTube videos and found none that explained best way to join any dust covers. I still love the way this kit turned out and am still learning this can be a serious art and not just a weekend project!

This was so much fun to do. I am not very crafty but had no problems following the English instruction. I have not completed the wiring yet. I made some small changes after my dog ate the fake turkey but I am really pleased at how well this came out. I plan to give to my nephew As a gift

This was easy to assemble, just give yourself about a week. The light bulbs are very bright, I did not use a light for the wreath and left one light off the Christmas tree. I used a different flooring, a self-stick vinyl leftover from my kitchen backsplash. I also bought a little heart-shaped rug, 1/24 scale rocking chair, teeny Christmas cupcakes, and Calico Critters rabbit family to enjoy the space!
