ARCAN Tools 2-Ton Extra Long Reach Low Profile Steel Floor Jack (A20016)

Longest reach "low profile" I have ever found. Jacks quickly. Finally found a good one for low profile vehicles. Reach on this one a good 5" more than any previous ones I have purchased. The "Step side" is much better than the "constant slope" of many other styles. The only real negative is the weight, this thing is HEAVY, but you don't get strength with a light but low profile configuration.

Great Piece of Equipment... I stayed away from the 3Ton because of some reviews, plus i have my 3ton Daytonas.. This 2Ton however is only 46lbs and a Lift height of 20" (I measured it and weighed it) . I got an Erection from this Fine piece of equipment. Fit and finish is solid. best 2Ton Aluminum for the money...Did i say it Looks amazing.... Very sturdy, beefy. Safety first...

Why did you pick this product vs others?:good

This review is for 2 Ton aluminum Arcan floor jack. The instruction booklet that came with the package indicates the product weight as 46.3 lbs and the package weight as 50.7 lbs. It is definitely much lighter than my previous 3-1/2 ton steel jack and it is light enough to easily maneuver it around or for one person to load it into a car trunk for trasporting it. We have Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX 5 SUV's and their weight is in the range 1.75 to 1.9 ton and the actual weight the jack sees will be a fraction of that; therefore, the jack should be strong enough, with good safety margin and it should last for a very long time. I do not recommend this jack for lifting a heavy SUV or truck. Clearly written instruction was included with the package. I tested the jack lifting my RAV4 and let it stay up for 30 minutes. It heldup. If you need to lift compact SUVs and sedans, this is the optimum jack.

Got it on sale as it seems to drop 40% every few months.If you have a E92 or BMW 335 type car get this! I was wary before but it definitely is great. This will slide right under the front to lift the car and the back to lift the car. Even used it on the side jack points. Note although it's a 2000 lbs jack, and the car was around 4000 pounds, you are only lifting one side. Recommend to use pucks if you can. I found using pucks over the rubber mounts worked better for me.I went with this one and although I didn't like it was only 2000 pounds, it had the right height to get under my car and not needing to use any 2x4s to get the car higher. I did this in case my car wouldn't move I could still lift it up.It does creak a little which might scare you thinking it can't handle the weight, but so far so good. No guarantees here, but that it has worked so far.One caveat is that the picture is black and I got a green one like others have mentioned. They should just say it that it's green!Also when you get it your box will be pretty beat up. You will have some damage unfortunately. When I got it also the instructions (I don't recall) didn't mention another clip on the unit when you're raising it. Watch out as that will break and fly out and you don't want to get hit with it if perhaps that ever was to happen. Also styrofoam everywhere! Tons of grease everywhere in the box because they greased it up pretty well. Some slight damage but still workable.Also when you roll it it will make a lot of noise will those metal wheels. It's also a heavy beast!With all that said, still happy with it.

This was which had one of the most controversial reviews. When I received the product I knew why. Unlike pictures shown, this is very large jack. To make it work, you need to take a plastic shims out. I unbolted and reassembled it. After initial pumping operation without any load, it seemed everything was fine and beautiful until I lifted my car first time. Lifting action was solid no hiccups nothing unstable what happened after however when I was lowering it. It just slammed right into whatever underneath. I was extremely careful turning the knob still coming down so fast it was scary. You need to turn the knob so that there is no air after each time usage. I could finally see it lowering it like it's normal after 19 times lifting and lowering. Overall interesting experience for my first jack ever.

Unlike most Chinese manufacturers, Arcan has some quality control. Packaging is excellent. Product performs as advertised.
