So who knew that Maytag washers had shocks? Found on you tube. Took about 30 minutes to install and now washer doesn’t wobble during spin cycle. Cost is way better than oem and seems to work just as well. Watched you tube video on how to install. Perfect! Wife thinks I’m a genius!

The installation video that was in the description was all I needed. It shows just how simple and fast this repair can be. Start to finish was about 20 minutes including cleanup. There are other videos on YouTube that explain in detail why replacing the dampner rods is needed. It all has to do with a little bushing on the rod spring assembly that keeps it snug. Once that grip on the dampner rod gets loose your machine is headed for trouble. Fortunately there's an easy fix. I'm not sure how long it's going to last, but I'll report back here if its fails.

My Amada NTW4630YQ0 was making loud banging sounds during the spin cycle. Replaced it with these shocks and it did the trick. Took me about 50minutes. Could have been faster with help. It came with instructions but didn't say what the little springs were for so I didn't install them. You can tell the old shocks were done when I put in the new ones because the tub level was up way higher. Did one super heavy load so far and no issues. Bonus was that this came the next day I ordered it. I will update again if the shocks don't last long.2/5/22 Update. It only worked for 2 months and I'm back to the banging around. Ordering parts from somewhere else. Down graded to 1 stars.

I ended up not needing these because the ones on the machine were still good. It is easy to know if they are bad or not by trying to move the spring up with one or two fingers. If it moves easily, it's bad. If not they're good. It is a good thing I didn't need these after all. I ordered these instead of W10780046 because they were cheaper and we're the same overall length of 26.3 inches. However, the spring length is CONSIDERABLY different. I would absolutely NOT use these to replace W10780046. I bought my washer used and someone obviously replaced the rods/springs prior to me purchasing it. The rods/springs that are on there currently are factory OEM. They are significantly better made. Not sure they are worth almost double the price but there is clear quality differences, especially on the part that usually goes bad. Contrary to popular belief, you shouldn't expect factory quality parts at aftermarket prices. Just not how it works 90% of the time. These parts still appear to be good quality. Just not OEM quality.

This only came with 3. Also did not fit my machine. I cut the wire off my machine to extend it.

This product was an easy fix for my washing machine, shaking issue. The video was extremely helpful. I was doing the install by myself so I use a screwdriver to pull the rods in the hole and adding the bracket. Like the video said, it takes a bit of strength to pull it up into the hole.

Amazon placed this product as the #1 result when I searched the model # of my washing machine - but it does not fit - the suspension bars are 3" too short for my model.I don't think that the seller is misrepresenting the product in any way, as the model #s and part #s are all labeled very clearly, but I was tricked into buying it because Amazon steered me to it based on a search for the model# of my machine.Lesson learned. Do not trust Amazon search results or recommendations for your part numbers. It's just an algorithm serving you whatever product seems close enough and sells well. Always double check the specific model of your appliance and the part numbers on the seller's description before buying.
