This thing is huge, I really should have thought through its listed dimensions before buying it. 40" length is way bigger than you need for typical lake or surf fishing, although that does mean it holds plenty of ice. My one complaint is given its size I feel the handle straps should wrap all the way around under the bag. If you actually filled this thing to its capacity there's a ton of weight on the straps, and they don't look like they'll hold up to that kind of abuse over time...

So, bag def can keep ice. fishing in the tropics, direct sunlight on the boat, no clouds. two fish in the bag from early morning. Back home 2ish in the aft. Plenty of ice left and fish are cold and fresh.

The item was what I expected and am pleased that it was delivered quickly. Will be used as an additional COLD STORAGE SYSTEM ON MY BOAT.

High end kill bags are $300. I didn't want to spend that much money. I actually take this bag with me when I travel, which is about every 3 months. I can fit 3 travel rods, tackle and clothes in the bag and I check it in at the airport (REMEMBER: Always bring your reels with you on the plane unless you want them stolen). I like it because its long enough to fit my St. Croix travel rods but it doesn't get flagged as oversized luggage plus it's padded so I know my stuff is protected. When I go fishing on the beach I fill it with ice and cover it with a towel. At the end of my trip I wash it out, put my stuff back in it and check it in on the plane going home. Haven't noticed any leaks coming from the seams yet and this bag has been through quite a few airports already. Works great. No complaints. Would definitely buy another one.

The construction of the bag is really good quality. Holds ice very well and doesn’t puncture from fish spines. I like that it has a drain plug to drain the water. My only dislike would be the zipper. It’s really tough to zip and gets caught easily. Not the most convenient zipper when you have to crawl to the front of the kayak to zip/unzip. This bag would be flawless with a better zipper. Overall I’m happy with the bag.
