As my workplace stopped providing cups, I was looking for a bottle to use at work that was easy to carry around with my laptop and possibly other things in my hands so a carrying handle was a must for me. I wanted a bottle that could keep my water cold as I hate room temperature water and the colder the better for me. I also wanted a bottle with a straw because sometimes I get angular cheilitis so I didn't want something I needed to have the corners of my mouth in contact with when drinking. Another plus for this bottle is that it can be used with just one hand which is a huge benefit when you don't have many hands free or are driving, I no longer need to worry about rushing at a traffic light to try and unscrew a cap, drink and put the lid back on before the light turns green. This bottle seemed to tick the boxes of what I was looking for and the contigo brand was well rated.This bottle keeps water cold for a longer time than any other bottle I've used - if you fill most of the bottle with ice and just a small bit of water, it can even keep water cold for longer than 24 hours. It has a wide mouth so can easily fit ice cubes in. The capacity of the bottle is good and for me it's just enough for a day without ever running out. The bottle doesn't need to be tilted at all to drink, can drink with bottle in upright position. The straw goes all the way to the bottom so you can drink everything in the bottle and again don't need to tilt to reach the last drops. It's easy to clean except sometimes you can get mould in the silicone mouth piece so really the manufacturer should provide a cleaning brush with this bottle to get into that and clean it properly (thankfully I already had one I use for metal straws that I picked up cheaply on ebay).I got the scuba colour which is nice. My friend who I found out has the same bottle got one of the ones with the printed patterns and said she wished she got my one as the printed patterns look cheap with wear and tear as the bottle gets old. The bottle scratches easily so I recommend getting a neoprene sleeve for it if you care about keeping it pristine and also to protect it from drops - mine saved mine when the lid became unscrewed whilst getting into the car and it fell on concrete; not a scratch or sign of it being dropped on it. There can be an odd smell sometimes from the materials used in the bottle but as I know I clean it everytime I use it, I'm not too bothered by this as I know it's not from anything dirty. It can make a gurgling noise when you drink from it but I think I get this because I use it with ice cubes and water, perhaps with just water there are no or fewer air bubbles causing this; personally the noise doesn't really bother me as I'm not drinking for long. The bottle will always squirt you in the face when you press the button to open the mouthpiece so just be aware of that, I just use my hand to shield myself or point the mouthpiece away from me when opening to avoid this. This bottle may not fit bottle holders in some cars e.g. in my parents' Honda it is too big but it fits my Audi just fine.Now onto the unforgivable major flaw this bottle has: it regularly leaks. When the bottle is closed properly it does not leak so I'm not referring to this. The problem is that the lid and the bottle do not have enough threading between them so the lid does not stay on securely and very easily unscrews when the bottle is ever so slightly knocked by anything (even after I make sure to check the lid is firmly closed several times before leaving the house). I have had this bottle let me down and leak on far too many occasions, sometimes even losing the entire contents of my bottle. I had this once in a separate compartment on its own in my laptop backpack which I looked after carefully, but somehow the lid was moved a bit whilst inside the bag and the contents leaked onto my book and other things in the bag. When I contacted Contigo about this I was told that they advise not storing the bottle inside of bags. Firstly, I think this is absolutely ridiculous advice because most people will put their bottle into some kind of bag at some point in its lifetime and secondly, this information is not anywhere on their website or provided with the bottle. I once attached this bottle to my handbag strap with the carabiner whilst getting into the car (so it was not inside the bag but outside as Contigo recommended) because I was carrying several bags and didn't have enough hands free; something must've very slightly touched it whilst getting into the car and the bottom of the bottle came off, hit the concrete and everything spilled onto the road. Another time, I just had the bottle sitting on my car seat next to me and by the time I got to work, found that it had leaked all over the seat. I no longer trust this bottle after too many incidents like this which are not due to me not closing the bottle properly but because it becomes so easily dislodged. This seems like a huge design flaw and could be corrected by Contigo doing 2 things which I have fedback to them: 1 add more threading between the lid and the bottle so it stays on more securely and 2 make the carrying handle collapsible like it is on other bottles as this sticks out so makes it more prone to being knocked around and rotated open unintentionally.I contacted Contigo about this leaking issue and their customer service was fantastic. They provide a 2 year warranty in the UK & Europe (sadly not the lifetime warranty they give in the US and again, this information cannot be found on their website). They sent a replacement bottle to me free of charge without needing to return my existing one. Unfortunately the courier they used (UPS) did not ring my doorbell despite me being home all day and took it to a store for me to pick up, the store lost the package. Contigo sent out another bottle and shockingly UPS did the same thing again when I was at home all day and the store lost the parcel again. Throughout all of this Contigo were absolutely fantastic (credit to Leszek) and seriously took into account my request to use another courier next time and be aware of the days I was not going to be home to accept delivery and the days I was to avoid further problems; I've never had any other company try to work with me and take into account what I've asked for when it comes to delivery issues like this. I eventually got my replacement bottle.This could be the best bottle out there with all the positives it has but given that I simply do not trust the bottle and it leaks far too often, I would not buy this model again or recommend it to anyone until they've improved the design.

Water does not come up the spout ,!Was really pleased with it for 2 months. Then could not get any liquid from straw.Now have a replacement fingers crossed.

My bottle leaks through the button even when being carried upright for short walks.
