Cheaply made, tears easily

I went to rip off the first bag and tore a whole in it. The quality isn't the greatest, but it's good for what I need it for. Which is a small waste can for the bathroom.

My old bathroom wastecan was a simple, square, no cover plastic wastebasket & I had no problem using the plastic shopping bags from the grocery store to line it. Then I replaced that with a stainless steel, step-on to open lid type wastecan that has the instruction to use a 1.2 gal trashbag imprinted on the inside of the lid. It's a real hassle using the grocery bags to line the new can - they're too large and the top won't close completely. When I saw these, I thought they'd be smaller than the grocery bags and a much better fit. WRONG! The grocery bag is 11 inches wide, 13 inches long (not counting the handles). These drawstring bags are 16.5 inches wide and 16.5 inches long, much larger than the grocery bags and an even bigger pain in the butt lining the wastecan with them! SIGH! These CAN'T be 1.2 gallon bags, maybe better for a 2-3 gallon with no lid? I'll use them all but I'll also either keep looking for a more appropriate size bag or resign myself to using the plastic grocery bags once these are gone. Two stars because I like the drawstring & that they're not see-through.
