Finally no mess around, no coffee loss - truly antistatic !!!
Updated after 100 LBs of coffee bins went through, 7 months total. Jan 9, 2023My grinder lost antistatic properties naturally. I experience now messy grinding each time. It came gradually. Grinder was never washed, wiped and treated in any manner. It was just shaken a few times to stay clean. Now such shaking does not remove remaining coffee dust. So it must be antistatic applied to the surface as a coat, like some reviewers suggested. Grinder still works fine, makes perfect coffee for Espresso, with scale set to number 14. So searching for true, permanent antistatic coffee grinder continues.Original review on May 14, 2022I purchased SHARDOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder model CG9406-UL2 to replace Cuisinart DBM-8. Cuisinart was a disaster for me. Large amount of coffee would always stay under grind chamber and entire counter area was very messy. Static was ruining grinding process each time. Each grinding job was a dreaded task due to cleaning efforts and removal of ground coffee tossed all over. I had coffee on my shoes, on my shirt, on my hands after cleaning session. What a mess! In my case with Cuisinart each grind chamber filled with coffee corresponded to up to 2 teaspoons of coffee found under grind chamber and on the surrounding area. Fortunately for me after a year of random usage Cuisinart quit working. About 75 LBs total coffee bins were ground. Most of coffee brands seemed too oily to it. It required some gentle tapping to allow coffee move down - and after one of grinding session I was no longer able to open the unit for cleaning. At this moment I looked for and purchased obviously anti-static grinder. I actually bought it for anti-static peoperties. SHARDOR arrived with no instructions, but I found directions from a few available videos. First grinding session was a delight. The difference was very dramatic. Zero spills. Zero!!! ZERO!!! I wish I had pictures showing entire mess caused by Cuisinart - and comparison pictures with SHARDOR. The counter area is very clean now. Coffee grinder inside has no sign of any ground coffee spilled. In fact, the grind chamber had clean walls after emptying it. I noticed noise is much less offending. Noise is very critical to me, as I work with a lot of ambient noise daily. So I wish to stay in quiet places as possible. And I completely don't trust others when they write something is quiet or not. Zero value to me. 95% of such statements are nothing but opinions by people who use plenty of noisy apliances like loud refridgerators, loud washers, generally loud trash made with little to no concern regarding noise. So I really hear SHARDOR being quieter than Cuisinart and the difference is considerable. I am pleased very much for that reason. I am happy also that I received cleaning brush, now cleaning is simple and quick. Cuisinart has larger coffee bean hopper and grind chamber, I am missing them now. Otherwise both do not allow grinding more than small quantity coffee, because of getting warm. As a seller advises, 3 minutes for grinding, then 30 minutes for cooling. In my case grind setting is 15, between Drip - Espresso and it takes exactly 1 minute to fill grind chamber to referred mark point called MAX and corresponding to 12 cups. I use various organic brands, always Medium to Light Roast. I avoid oily brands and Dark Roast. I think they are made with worst quality coffee beans with fungus and coffee grinder is more likely to get clogged. What I wish to be improved? A cable is rather stiff, like old fashion cables were 20 years ago. It could be a nicer looking, smooth finish and flexible cable that easily fills space among other cables. This cable gives me discomfort each time I hold it, unplug or plug it. At certain point moving grinder away caused such stiff cable to push a desk lamp standing nearby. I feel like having a surplus cable picked from some landfill trash. That cable is not matching overall pleasing feel, look and entire experience with SHARDOR coffee grinder. Overall 5 stars.

Review after 5 years
I’ve had two of these for about five years, I haven’t used them daily but overall this is what I think.//Pros//-Anti static (for about first couple months)You can just spray a little water on the beans and that gets rid of the static.)-easy access to beans, easy timer, easy grind setting, good design, easy cleaning, removable grinding part.//CONS//- not super quietOverall this is a great grinder & good for the price.Hope Amazon will bring it back on the market!

Easy to use, sometimes a little messy
This is a decent burr grinder for home use. There's nothing complicated about it, pour in beans and press the button...out come grinds. You can adjust the grind easily by turning the hopper, although I've found that it tends to grind a little more finely than the settings suggest. For a drip coffee maker, I keep it pretty close to French Press settings. After I became more familiar with it, it's very easy to use and it works great.Cleaning it is pretty easy, it's simple to take apart. The only downside is that the design does lend itself to making a bit of a mess from time to time. While removing the grounds container, it's pretty common to have some grounds fall out onto the counter. I don't see it throwing grounds while it's spinning, it's just getting them grinder-to-maker that seems to be this way. Not a huge deal, and I still prefer this over my cleaner Cuisinart grinder that this replaced.

2nd time a charm!! Great little grinder - No Static, Consistent Grind, Small Footprint
Updated Review 5/31/23Exceptional Customer Service, they reached out to me after my first review - After quickly replacing the unit, I now have a value performing grinder! The new unit works as initially anticipated, and provides a great range of coarseness in the grind. Consistent grind, and throughput (doesn’t retain residual grounds), with no static in the grounds cup. I actually measure my beans each brew, so can not attest to the accuracy of the grind timer. In comparison to other grinders, I would classify it as slightly quieter. The footprint is small, and is lightweight enough to consider taking it on vacation or road trip (which is important when Mr. Coffee and Folgers are the main brew setup at my parents)I want to love it but …. It will not produce a coarse grind unfortunately … If you’re looking for a grinder that will produce beautiful powdery grounds for Turkish, Mokka or Espresso look no further - it rocks for this. However, even on the coarsest setting #35, it won’t produce a grind suitable for drip. It isn’t suitable for my Chemex or for French Press. It took over 6:00 minutes to produce a 400 ml pour over with, 25 g of the coarsest possible grounds. Such a disappointment, given the grind is beautifully consistent, anti-static properties are excellent, the machine is super quiet, and has a nice form factor. Perhaps it’s a factory flawed unit? But did notice others have found that the grind isn’t as coarse as they would like either. So wish it could provide a better range of grind size (even though it say it has 35 settings there is little difference from #10 to about #28).
