Awessssssum!
Yes, I purchased a rubber snakeRubber Rock Python. Why, you may ask? Well, it wasn't only one. You mean you bought more than one? Yes, I did, and most of them through Amazon.com12 Rubber RAINFOREST Snakes/14" Rain Forest Snake Figures/PARTY Favors/NATURE Toys/Anaconda/BOA Constrictor/Rattle/CORAL/ViperSafari LTD Incredible Creatures Chain Kingsnake. You see it started out with our beautifully landscaped, backyard, play pool area. Palm trees, flowers and boulders all around. How nice. Oh and even the birds loved it. A little too much. They do not have the same etiquet as we do and don't mind hanging around their messes. So, not enjoying the new color of these boulders, I decided to try something to keep them at bay. Birds don't like snakes. Most people don't either, but rubber snakes I've grown to like. I don't dislike birds, but they abuse their privileges and so "snakes upon them".We employed about twenty rubber snakes and one IguanaSafari LTD Iguana Adult. At a cost of under $50.00. Yes an occasional bird will land near a "security" snake, but once he or she realizes what that is next to them, they exit stage, right! We are still amazed at how birdless our yard has become. We do still greet the Hummingbirds and occassional Road Runner, but Pigeon and Dove and Greakel, gone! So, if your wanting to rid yourself of the little mess makers try some rubber snakes. They still look good after a very hot Arizona Summer. Best wishes and enjoy your backyard again!

No more birds on my engine
This thing works like a charm. This thing looks so real that the lawn man thought it was a shake on my tire. Had it over a year now outside and it still is working. I put it on my apple tree and the birds fly away before they land. I love it.

Rubber Kingsnake
I didn't buy this as a toy for my kids but to put out in the garden to hopefully chase off a neighborhood cat that loves to use my raised garden bed as a glorious cat box. I was very pleased with the very realistic look of this snake. I placed it underneath a dying cabbage plant and it really looked like there was a snake! It gave me the creeps. It has excellent markings like a real Kingsnake would have. I uncoiled it and carried into the house as if I was carrying a real snake and it scared the crap out of my husband lol! Of course he was mad at me for a while but it was worth it.As of this review, I haven't seen any signs that the cat has been back anointing my garden bed.

... more elongated but saw reviews where quality wasn't as good as this one
I wanted a snake that was more elongated but saw reviews where quality wasn't as good as this one. I drilled a hole in the head and tail, threaded fish line through the holes and stretched it out on my deck. After tying it up, I left a little slack so the wind could blow it a little. The birds haven't been back to poop decorate my deck. Planning on getting the deck washed & re sealed so I needed to get rid of the dirty birds. The snake's head pulls up like it's ready to strike but the tail is curled. Easy to drill the holes and they didn't rip or tear.So it's good for what I needed it for. It could have been a little bigger but if the birds hate it, I'm good with it.

Worked for a while.
I bought these snakes to scare off ground squirrels, worked well as long as I moved them every day, I placed them near all the burrow entrances, but then I got lazy and they figured it out.Would make a great toy.

Peeling paint
I gave this to my son yesterday for Christmas (so it has only been a day) and the yellow paint is already flaking off. He has gently played with it - I haven't seen him scratching it or anything like that. I'm pretty disappointed at the quality when the description talks about how durable the materials are.

Hope the neighbor doesn't freak out!
I purchased this to help keep the birds away from a blackberry bush that we are trying to grow. The plant has already begun to bear some fruit but the birds get them before we can. The snake looks very real and it's a little freaky seeing it out in the yard but hopefully it will help to keep the birds away until the plant gets bigger and we can all share. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the colors will hold up in the sun and other weather as well. The snake is already pre-positioned in a coil and I wish it were more bendable to help with staging it in and around the bush. I'll have to keep going out and moving it around every few days and this would of made that a bit easier. Pleased with the look of the snake and it appears plenty durable to handle the job of outdoor security. Just hope the neighbor doesn't freak out!

I purchased this snake to use as a geocache container. I attached a micro log book to the snake, hid him in some bushes in the mountains of Northern Arizona and then published the GPS coordinates on the Geocaching internet website. Now I sit back and wait for geocachers to find it. This snake is really life like. I suspect that when a geocacher catches a glimpse of this snake in the bush, his first reaction will be to holler and jump back a few feet. This snake is very realistic, especially when it’s a few feet away and partially hidden by tall grasses and bushes. One of the objectives of geocaching is to camouflage the cache container so it will not be easily found. I think this snake is not only great camouflage but it is a deterrent as well. I hope it will be able to survive the heat, cold, rain and snow of Northern Az. Only time will tell. I intend to buy another one of these snakes and use it for a second cache container.
