PeltorSport Ultimate Hearing Protector

I was a bit surprised at how well and comfortable these fit.I work in a building with a large computer datacenter, and frequently have to wear ear protection, sometimes for hours at a time. These are a big upgrade from my previous favorite pair, the 3M Peltor H6A\V Optime 95 Noise Reduction Earmuff.The noise reduction is noticeably better on this new Peltor Sport earmuff (maybe I should have gone with the 24db version, it does somewhat inhibit conversation). These also have the same good black ring plastic material that, in the 5 years I have experienced, has held up very well. In other model earmuffs I've used, the plastic ring hardens over time and becomes less effective and uncomfortable; not so with these Peltors!I also had a brief experience with the predecessor, the original Peltor Sport Shotgunner Hearing Protector which I found fairly uncomfortable due to the headband. This newer model has a MUCH more comfortable headband!If I had to pick something to complain about, it would be that initially the earmuffs fit a bit too tight until the metal band has time to stretch to your fit. You can either manually open it wide and hold it there for a bit to fix this, or just wait a week or two of use and it'll fix itself. The earmuffs are very adjustable for different head shapes, and the height adjustment works well from the getgo.

Comfortable with a secure fit. Great for shooting, wood working when using power tools, wife uses them when vacuuming. They get a little sweaty if using for extended periods, but if you let in air you're letting in noise. It's a trade-off I'm willing to accept. I would recommend this product.

I have a few of these in different dB levels -- they are well made, effective, and at a good price. 3M quality.

Well made and very comfortable.I use doing yard work and they work great.Very easy to adjust.

Bought these and another 34db reduction muff (Pro fo Sho??). These were more comfortable and blocked the sound noticeably better than the 34db brand.I haven't used for shooting yet but with a backpack leaf blower, chainsaw, etc, they are perfect. They go on and off your head very quickly and easily too, something that the other brand didn't do because they collapse down to fit in your shooting bag. That might be nice for going to the range, but for situations where you have to take them on an off multiple times, it's not ideal for them to collapse into their compact position so the Peltor's are better.I can also wear my Beats earbuds under these with relative comfort, so that's a bonus.

I wear these on the tractor with my earbud underneath. Perfect combo in an extremely noisy environment. These muffs are comfortable and adjustable, easily fitting my giant head.
