I love the Germanikure glass nail files. They are gentle on your nails, and you don't need to worry about only filing in one direction. I also really like the leather cases they come in. They are easy to clean, too. I especially like the little travel sized file because it's a great size to keep in your purse or pocket. Highly recommend!

So a reviewer for another product casually mentioned that “ of course we all know you should only file your nails in one direction“. Huh?! Who knew that? Was I home sick on the day of my life skills teacher handed out that information? Apparenyly you should never file your nails in a back and forth direction. (The way everybody in every movie or every manicurist I’ve ever been to does). “ unless“ she went on to say “You use a glass nail file“. Glass nail file? I quickly realized that I would never remember this so the only solution was to track down one of these so called “glass nail files”. I needed to find out if this was a legend or did they really exist? Enter Google. Enter Amazon. Between the two I educated myself and purchased this set. One for Home and one to throw in my purse.I still don’t know why I can’t file in both directions with any other file but this glass nail file set, files my nails. I go back-and-forth in any which way I please. My nails get shorter and I don’t have to worry about all the horrible things that would’ve happened to me if I had continued in my disgusting nail filing ways.
