Funny game which got me into the franchise!!
The "game breaking" glitches are easily ignored and do not last. I laughed so much playing. It's so fun. Thanks to this experience I'm now playing the Borderlands series!!

I Had Fun, Will You?
Had to break down and buy a disc copy because whoever is making these ridiculous executive decisions at Sony to pull good games from the store, should be fired. That being said, I couldn't wait to jump back into the game and pick up where I left off.The beauty of Telltale's games is that you get to steer the direction of the game according to your choices in how you reply to in-game dialogue, but after 2 years, I forgot my decisions. Regardless, I enjoyed it, immensely!I ordered it new and it came as that; sealed, packaged with that beautiful NEW smell, and earlier than Amazon listed. Had to wait for the Telltale trifecta to be finished before making the review.Do I recommend the seller?Triangle = ...Square = MaybeCircle = Most definitelyX = Find someone elseMy answer is definitely Circle 🙂

I can't believe I'm saying this, but get the Digital Download version.
The content of the game isn't bad. As far as adding to the Borderlands universe, I was quite pleased. It was an nice hold over until the next actual borderlands game. If you're expecting anything close to an action game be prepared to be vastly disappointed though. Telltale Games Series are basically interactive books. There are a few places were you need to be quick with the buttons or you "die" (since nearly the entire game is being recalled by the main protagonists, they dismiss the death with a "stop lying and tell it how it really happened") but they are few and far between. Dying has no real consequences (no running out of lives, no points lost, no money spent, etc) other than having to start over some potentially lengthy sequences. This is a great game to play if you are feeling like playing a game, but are looking for more story than challenge. The reason why I'm giving it 3 stars, specifically for the PS3 physical disc media edition, is loading. Loading times are somewhat long, but the real rub is *how* the loading occurs. Essentially the producers wanted to cut down on load time by starting the game before everything was loaded. A valid approach, but when used in the correct context. Have a particularly large map? Go ahead, load models and graphics in close proximity to where the player starts, and once enough of it has been loaded to memory, go ahead and let the player start, and it can keep loading the rest. With clever design and adequate load times, the player will never see the rest of the map being loaded. Since this is an optical disc (which has very slow load times compared to running from the hard drive) their approach failed. I have a feeling they optimized based on hard drive load times, not optical disc.Specific issues: During the loading phases, the game will start prematurely, characters will start talking, but there is no voice, just mouths moving. The graphics will freeze completely at points and you'll have nothing but audio. The "work around" to this is to pause the game as soon as it starts to let it load... you know, like in the older days of netflix and youtube, where you would pause it to let it buffer? At that point, you are greeted to what sounds like gnomes playing a vigorous game of ping pong with the laser inside the PS3. They definitely did not optimize the layout of the tracks. It's like the files are completely fragmented... one set of files is on the inner track, the next set outer, the next inner. I was literally afraid my optical drive in my ps3 was dying. I popped in a different disc, and it was fine. I double checked the surface of the discs, completely unblemished (so it wasn't read errors).Bottom line, pressing pause to wait for the loads to finish (or buffer enough) to prevent no voice/freezing-only-voice issues, while a hack, was manageable. The fear of it killing my optical drive was real though. I'll keep the game for my collection, but if I were to play through it again, I would buy the digital version to save my PS3. I really don't want to have to replace the optical drive.

RIP telltale's fantastic titles
Loved this game instantly became one of my favorite telltale games and all the characters were super entertaining my fav console is my ps3 so I bought it for that however I gave it 4 stars because the game is glitchy sometimes if I didnt have subtitles on I wouldnt have been able to get all the lines this probably happened 4-6 times not sure why this happens the disc was in ecxellent condition.

Continues the Borderlands story!
I'm a big Borderlands fan. Although this game isn't a RPG Shooter like the other three Borderlands games, it does answer a few questions and re-introduces you to some Borderland favorites!

Get the PC version instead if you can
I know they don't widely sell the PC version anymore (as I write this), which is the reason I got the PS3 version instead. This negative rating review is not about the game itself, but the quality of the game port. The visual novel game is quite funny, entertaining, and overall great addition to the Borderlands world and story. The port to PS3 is nothing good. It constantly freezes and stutters during the scene transitions. The audio is out of sync with the subtitles or just cuts off entirely during narration. The textures look super low quality.I can say all this because I went through the game with a friend on their PC but wanted to be able to make different decisions on my own so bought the PS3 version. There was no quality control during the PS3 development at all. I wish the PC version was still available.Don't buy this, just look for YouTube playthroughs to get the story.

Fun game, awful glitches
I love telltale games and was eager to play this one. It's less action-y than other games and more choice based and narrative. It's still fun and I enjoyed watching the story unfold. The game however had terrible glitches. Numerous ones even. I had to reset my ps several times and got frustrated many times. It really deters from the gaming experience thus why the three stars. Maybe the other console versions are better made with less glitches than the PS3 version.
