Helly-Hansen Kids' Juniors Moss Coat Jacket with Full Rain Protection

I have bought many brand waterproof jackets before but none worked as well as Helly Hansen Kids' Big Juniors Moss Coat Jacket. As Boy Scouts and assistant Scoutmaster, we go out camping every month in all kinds of weather conditions. In California winter, it's the rainy season so we would be camping and hiking in the rain during those months. I bought 2 of Helly Hansen Kids' Big Juniors Moss Coat Jacket for both my son and myself, the price of these is very reasonable compared to other name brands from REI store, and quality is much better. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This heavy duty, PVC coated rain coat will keep a kid dry in a downpour. It falls below the hips and provides great coverage.

Everything about this jacket works exactly as it should. Very waterproof and it doesn't slowly absorb and seep like some other materials. Be forewarned though... the material is NOT breathable. Fair tradeoff for its waterproofness.

I'm confident this coat and material will keep my son fully dry. That said, a little disappointed there's no inside liner (just the back of the waterproof material which leaves it feeling a little thin and unfinished). Also disappointed that the buttons aren't a 'neon' color as shown (just yellow) and the hood lacks the "HH" insignia that their other rain coats have. I think those details would've made that coat more interesting. Comes with a piece of raincoat material for 'repairs'. Not sure if that's a god sign or not. My son's previous raincoat from Gapkids was superior in terms of construction and features, IMO. Overall, I think a simple, bare bones coat that will of course work, but not my favorite, especially for the price.

I just received this today (and in a timely manner) but I will be returning because it’s really big. It does look well made, the quality is very nice; I will probably reorder in one size down. For reference, my son is 110 pounds and exactly 5ft tall. He usually wears a 14, so I thought the 16 would be good in case he has to wear a hoodie underneath it…But I should have ordered a 14.

Tengo duda , compre la misma acá en chile talla 8, como mi hijo creció compre por esta vía, pero es más delgada y la costura interior es dudosa , no se si es original, creo que no.
