Made quick cheese biscuits
Just got this so figured I would try cheesy biscuits in the triangle attachment. I set temp at 4.5, then added my basic cheese biscuit recipe (biscuit with shredded cheese added). Takes a few to get correct amount of dough to add but they are awesome. Easy to eat. Next time I will try adding spices like garlic or rosemary..I was able to keep pretty clean, so I may just hand wash. Attaching and removing heating plates is very easy.A thought maybe a little pricey, but I think I will use it alot and get my money's worth.Update. Made waffles them Made grilled cheese sandwiches. Pretty darn tasty. I like this thing.Update after almost a year still live this product. Just used it to cook up a large about of breakfast sausage. Works great, cooks them fast and keeps grease splatter to a minimum.

It's worth the money!
It makes excellent waffles with the temperature control. I like crispy, about 6 minutes for two regular sized waffles. Need to make lots? When they're done, toaster oven on low to keep warm. They're great and easy to make. Does a great jib with bacon also. 3 slices at a time. It doesn't take long so keep an eye open for your crispness. I'm old school and love fried eggs in bacon grease. If you use the waffle iron to make eggs just keep an eye on it. I haven't tried that yet. Let the iron cool and drain the bacon fat into a container (ceramic or metal suggested). Remember I said it tastes great. Fried eggs in bacon grease isn't healthy but sure tastes excellent, indulge. My next projects will be 1" New York strip steak and eggs. DO NOT USE METAL UTINSELS. IT WILL SCRATCH THE NON STICK COATING. You'll want to keep this forever. Careful with the hinges, they're delicate. Make sure the plates are fully in place before heating. I think it's the best thing I bought myself all year. Hope this helps, happy holidays. (An excellent time to use with company over for holidays.) Try the Metine food tongs so you don't scratch. A $15 investment on a great product!

Philly cheese steak hamburger melt
So the item works well. It does get crisper on the top I recommend flipping things w a fork. I'm so afraid it will break so I leave the hook thing up and press down lightly to make sure it grills both sides. Since the meat tends to expand. I'm nervous about how strong the hinges are so I won't push down too hard. It feels like it can cook one small burger at a time without the juices overflowing (2 McDonald sized burgers for measure). I really thought the grill part would be deeper.I did a small philly cheese steak w a tortilla. It wasn't really crispy but it did cook through and oh my god the dried garlic I cooked w was cooked in the meat juice and made tender. So it does cook. But make sure u use higher than a 3. It said it was done but it had to go in a few rounds. Overall that was on me but it did a good job cooking. It looked crispy but the tortilla was more soggy. But the fact it made a really fast meal is all I needed. My boyfriend is scared of getting replaced by this new appliance in the kitchen. I'm feeling 50/50. Which means this appliance ... Cooks pretty well! Especially since I (who proudly can't cook) cooked.I'll be honest, I would recommend. Although I'm not sure how sturdy it is, there are a ton of waffle and grilling recipes I can't wait to try.

This is it!!!! Absolutely Perfecto.
I have tried 3 different waffle makers and all of them had some kind of the problem. Either they were not hot enough or to big without spill control or very difficult to determine how much batter to pour. One bad one had all 3 problems plus it had plastic plates with screws attached outside of the hot plates and the spill was sticking to those like a glue. It was impossible to remove to clean. So this Metine Waffle Maker is perfect. It is not to big and not to small. It has 1200 watts for 2 waffles. The biggest one I tried was 1400w for 4 waffles. So this Metine Waffle Maker is even better. It has spill control. But it doesn't matter because 1/2 cup of batter fits perfectly. And hot plates are removable for easy cleaning and dishwasher safe.Absolutely Perfecto.

I really like this now that I figured out how to use it
First let me say that I do like this product once I learned how to use it. The instructions are not clear so here is how I use it. For waffles and sandwiches I turn the temperature knob which they call the gears to 4.5 or 5. Then I plug the machine in. The red and green light comes on. I let the machine heat up and when the green light goes off it is hot. I then pour 1/2 cup of waffle mix per side and close the machine. I then time it on the clock for 3-4 minutes. This will depend on how brown you like it. Then I take the waffles out. For a sandwich same heat up then I put the sandwich in and time for 1-2 minutes. You may press the top down for a more pressed sandwich or just leave it on top of the sandwich.I use the store bought Pancake Mix and they have a recipe for waffles.I have only done these two things so far but I like the results. I like the size of the waffles and it does not take long to make. Hope this helps.

my new favorite small appliance
I bought this as a replacement for a too-big waffle maker and I'm happy with the size of waffles this makes. Having always grilled sandwiches in a skillet, I was surprised and pleased to discover this makes some really fine panini-style sandwiches. It is super easy to use and clean. My only complaint - and it is a minor one - is that the red light is on all the time and the green light turns on and off at random intervals that have nothing to do with doneness of waffle or sandwich. Not a big deal because it is so easy to look and see and I am happy to have this small appliance in my kitchen.

Defective? Doesn't make anything crispy. Limp, undercooked everything.
I must have a defective item. Plates are great, I'll give it that. I cannot figure out how to make a waffle that is not limp, soft and undercooked. I have tried all suggested recipes and times on reviews and actual item listing. Also, barely crisps paninis and grilled items. My kid was so excited for waffles, he threw away the packaging on day one and now I can't return.
