I got these because it made sense that my hair clips did more than just hold hair in place. I also got a competitor's product at about the same time. I prefer these for a couple reasons. First, they hold more securely than the other product. I have very thick hair and these hold my hair in place and stay where I put them. After a few hours, I had to rearrange the competitor's product because the grip loosened and/or the clips moved.Second, I like the raptor claw and saw blade. It's surprising how often you need something sharp to open a letter, box, or other packaging. When your "cutter" is clipped to your hair, it's always there, always accessible.Before buying these, I read a number of reviews and questions about the product. Some of the questions were whether these cut or snagged hair while in use. I have not had either of those problems with Tacticlips but I have had hair snagged by the competitor's product. One thing to be aware of with these clips, if you put them in with the raptor point up off your hair/scalp, that may grab a hat if you wear one over the clips. That's mostly a problem with knit hats. I just take out the clips before I put on a hat now. They are so easy to put in that that is the easiest solution. Problem solved.Finally, I had a minor issue with the product I received. I contacted the manufacturer by email at the address specified in the note that came with the product. I got a response the morning of the next business day! They resolved my issue to my complete satisfaction. It's nice to deal with responsible companies.In summary, if you need something to keep your hair out of your eyes or hold it in place, and want something more versatile than a simple barrette, these should do the job perfectly. I recommend this product without reservation.

I just got mine and I love whipping it out of my hair to use in front of unsuspecting people. Instead of searching for keys or a knife to open letters and packages, the Tacticlip is within easy reach and I always know where it is. I have black hair so it easily blends in so no one sees it. I think it's a great gift for any friend who likes to be prepared and likes to keep things simple 😉

First of all I want to start out by saying that I have an INSANE amount of hair.It’s very fine, but super super thick. Naturally curly, but I straighten it (regains curls throughout the day).Usually I would have to use 56 bobby pins to get my hair held back like this.I used two Tacti-Clips today... GAME. CHANGER. They kept my hair in place ALL DAY and never snagged or pulled my hair. I move around a lot, and I’m a “hair toucher”. These never budged.Now granted, I’d rather the branding wasn’t on the outside, or the fact that I have a small ruler on the side of my head (it’s a great feature, but could be hidden on the bottom of the barrette). The coating keeps them from slipping out of your hair, and also keeps the metal “pinchy bits” from snagging your hair. I’m not sure what the coating actually is, so I’ll just assume it’s magic.I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the fact that I can I clip this, slash a box open, and pop it back in my hair. No looking for a knife or keys.I’ll be getting more of these, and as you can see from the “glitter” in my hair, hopefully they’ll come in silver in the future.9/10 would buy again.My pack of 4 is already being used.
