Great Practical Advice
This book is an incredibly valuable tool for any organization that wants to maximize employee performance, reduce turn over, and unleash the positive energy associated with engaged employees. The author maps out a step-by-step program that literally drives results. Many of his statements sound like common sense, but we have all worked in environments where that kind of sense isn't so common. Mr. Kelleher does a masterful job of laying out the truth in bite size morsels. The result is very tasty and incredibly powerful. Most work environments today have us all doing more with less. We have been operating this way for so long that many companies have taken performance for granted. This book unlocks the opening where employees willingly give of their discretionary effort. The result for your company will be more effective, positive employees who are committed to the company's success. This book is a must have for every manager and prospective manager. I sent several of the managers who work with me to Mr. Kelleher's live program and they came back with renewed enthusiasm and vigor. I highly recommend both.

A Solid Resource on Employee Engagement
Our company's leadership team has been focusing on employee engagement ever since exposure to Marcus Buckingham and his classic work "Now Discover Your Strengths" a number of years ago. This work is true to the subject and adds a number of practical steps and measurement tools to help management implement and maintain a higher level of engagement. The title says it well and this book should help align our management team's efforts to improve the level of engagement across the company; especially in our remote offices where challenges are often the greatest.

Extremely Valuable
This book begins with the clear and compelling message that engagement is inextricably linked to high performance. As we know that high performance equates to a robust bottom line, it naturally follows that as conscientious business leaders we should want to know how to create high levels of employee engagement. This book lays out ten steps that will help you get there. Moreover, the book is written in an easy to understand, highly readable style that makes you want to embrace its ideas and get started. So many business books leave the reader with the nagging sense that there is a huge gap between the advice offered and the reality of implementation. Louder than Words really is a book that contains achievable concrete recommendations. As the numerous clients and devotees of Bob Kelleher would attest, it is worth its weight in gold. My recommendation is to get it, read it, and follow it. You will be glad you did.
