When assembling it's easy to see this was very well thought out. For what it is it is easy enough to assemble, protective, and well built for the price point. Adding an extra pop-rivet and little screws for the ones you may drop and lose are nice touches. Tucked in and covered by eaves along the side of my home, it's large footprint-to-sides and height withstood 50 MPH gusts that toppled trees in saturated ground. I "Winterized" mine for a Northeast feral cat with a 1" insulation foam board bottom that was also covered with reflective mylar ("self heating") which also covered the bubble wrapped/caulked sides and opaque door side. A dollar-store semi-plush bathmat floor finished it off. An idea: to give the kitties more visual comfort the see-thru door could be placed on the opaque side, and vice versa, to let them see some out of both ends and still have some obscurity. A 4" resin reptile corner bowl (u can get on Amazon also) fits well into this scheme.

Update: Tried installing the rod from the other side and it worked so no more problem.Didn’t take long to put together on my own but another pair of hands would be handy.Having problem sliding the rod all the way through. This mean that one of the door won’t stay open as there is nothing for the magnet to stick to. Will fiddle around with it some more when I have time.Cats were surprisingly interested which was a relief considering the price. I put in their favourite blanket and treats. Took one cat a while to figure out the swing door lol but he’s not the brightest.I don’t think it will be completely waterproof as there are gaps around the doors, so will depend on which way the rain hits.

I read the reviews on this and most of them were good. A few said it took 2 people to assemble. The number of little pieces is kinda scary but this thing is super well designed and fabricated. I expect it to last a long time. It really isn't hard to put together and you don't need 2 people. I was unsure of the size so I went with the larger one and it was perfect. Highly recommend. This reminded me of a design school project where you had to design a super efficient, long lasting product that would fit in the smallest box possible. Mission Accomplished! Its amazing and Finn loves it too!
