Lifegard Aquatics1-1/2-Inch Standard Threaded Bulkhead

Bulkhead is actually fairly well built; pretty heavy & solid and threads are clean. I knocked off 2 stars because their product description is so poorly advertised. The inner thread is located on the flange side, not the nut side. I'm not really sure why anyone would need connections on the wet side of a tank? But that really wouldn't have been hard to put in the product description, and it isn't. That means if you want to use a barb connector on these things you have to fit them back to front! You will also see info like "read instructions first" on the product page. Well there aren't any instructions so what exactly are we supposed to be reading here? Sort your product descriptions out so they actually make sense in English and it would be a 5 star buy.

I had a new patio table and umbrella but the table did not have a hole for the umbrella. I bought on Amazon the proper silicon ring for the hole I made in the table but my table was resin and was too thick for the ring. I bought this fitting and resized the hole to fit and inserted the fitting. It fit prefect, and all I did was thread it down tight onto the table. It was black like my umbrella pole and had a flush, finish crown that looks great in the table. The ID is just larger than the standard 1 1/2 pole so a little rubber sleeve will fill in the difference perfectly.

Poor quality control. The label says 1.5" but the real diameter is close to 2". And it is not even a full 2". Very dissatisfying. Returned the product. Waste of time and waste of shipping resources.

Can't recommend these bulkheads. Out of 4, three had to be filed down on the flange side, threads are super crusty and the mold in general was probably past it's useful date. Threads on the flange side should be in the description but there are pics, so that's not really an excuse for ordering them by mistake. No leaks with the good seal but not a good product quality wise.

Works well. To answer a few other posters about sizing- this slip fits 1 1/2 pvc or abs pipe perfectly, nice snug fit, hole size required to install is 2 3/8 to 2 1/2.
