I purchased an Ossur Dynamic AFO, the same brace I have been using for almost 20 years. I have had the brace for about 2 months and the fabric covering the carbon fiber is peeling off. This is occurring all over the brace, not just a single location. This is never happened before. Unfortunately, I am outside the 30 day return period. But Ossur has a 6 month warranty on the brace. I have contacted the merchant. I will update the review once I have heard from them.

This AFO worked well, is high quality as you would expect for the price. The straps and padding are all good quality. Unfortunately the carbon fiber has already begun to fail where the connection is to the foot plate. Also, it's kinda rough on shoes with the side support. This is my second one. The first one lasted about three years before it failed.

Provides nice spring back for foot while walking, but sticks out weirdly on the side and only fits into one type of shoe. I would not by it again.

I have CMT and sever foot drop. These braces allow flexibility to drive. They are light weight and give me the stability I need. I have worn these for over 5 years.They last 2-3 years but the straps only last weeks before the velcro wears out. Here is what I do. Buy extra sets of straps and take them to a local brace/specialty shoe shop. They can sew in better velcro and I now get 6-8 moths out of the straps.It is true these only work in some shoes. P.W Minor for dress shoes, Ecco Biom for casual and Icebug for boots all work well for me.

I have a severed tendon on the top of my foot that created A condition called Drop Foot. I have tried several braces some prescribed costing $850. The .$850 brace worked but was bulky created huge painfull calluses as I took a trip to Hawaii and logged over 30 miles through airports, trekking to attractions and luaus etc... this brace absolutely works. It fits in your shoe doesn’t have any heel issues either. I did change the heel strap with a more flexible 2” Velcro strap that I had while trying to fine tune other braces. I put it on and have already done many things I haven’t done in over a year. I am headed out tomorrow to hit a bucket of golf balls and have every confidence in the brace helping me to get back in the game.
