Edit: One year later and device still works optimally. Updates have came regularly. I still use glass screen protectors and my main screen is unscathed. No issues with this device, very happy with my purchase.Coming from a Google Pixel 3XL, I had high expectations. I personally wrote Google to let them know this phone was the Swiss Army knives of phones, and one day my power button stopped working.It was then, after contacting Google's amazing support team, I knew my days with that phone were numbered. Ordering a Google Pixel 5 over the 6 was a hard decision but the fingerprint scanner, the same location as my Pixel 3XL, ultimately sold me.I have had this phone for about a month or so, before deciding to write the review, because I can be quickly sold out of the box but I knew the day-to-day usage would be what mattered most.The phone is smaller than I expected coming from a phablet. I quickly grew to love this. It fits in my pockets. My case has an adorable wrist dangly so I can just hold it comfortably, even when not in use. The phone is very light, if you didn't know better, you may think it was a toy you just found in my purse.Speaking of sometimes I lose it in my purse. That's how light and small it is! I worry it may be fragile. I have a glass screen protector which cracks quickly but my phone is unscathed. I feel confident it will last just as well as my last phone, as long as I'm careful.I dropped my last one in the toilet 3 times, along with so much concrete straight to the front screen. I'm a pretty active individual who rides a bike around town. This phone has survived some crazy throws into concrete, as well. I have a case but it isn't an otterbox or anything super crazy, but the phone seems fine nonetheless. Performance has never been affected by my falls.Camera is amazing. I would say it's the same as my Pixel 3XL, and I think megapixels wise that may be true. Lags between shots, but so did my last one.I think my phone needs to be restarted a lot. The pull down from the top doesn't always fully expand, my phone calls sometimes don't ring or I can't answer them properly. I'm not sure if this is a refurbished issue or if it's a Google software issue but I think people deserve to know it's an issue I have, with my phone, daily.I have never used facial recognition and the battery life depends on how I use it. I have made it two days without charging, using it on and off throughout the day, but days with heavy usage such as music and GPS it has to be charged, sometimes even a few hours before I go to bed.A weird problem I have is if the battery life goes into the second day, but I use it a lot that day, I have to charge it in the middle of the day. All of that being said, I think this battery life is as described of a new Pixel 5.Overall I am in love with Pixel technology and don't find many inherent flaws with this being a refurbished cell phone.

I needed to replace Pixel 3 that no longer was getting updates. This refurbished Pixel 5 was a great deal. It works like brand new and will get OS and security updates through October 2024. The phone battery life is amazing! The phone always has enough battery for a day. The fingerprint reader works flawlessly. I've had the refurbished phone for over 2 months without having any issues.Note: It shipped with a charger. I do not use the charger as the charger (not the phone) runs very hot. It appears the charger is a cheap knock off that came with the phone . I use my original Pixel 3 charger which runs cool.

Perfect condition, no scratches either front or rear. Activated instantly with Verizon SIM. Google setup copied or installed all apps from old phone, even copied home pages. Copied contacts, pictures, SMS messages, everything else I checked. Would rate the phone 5-stars.I had selected free shipping for 7-14 days arrival, there were options for faster shipping at a cost. Actual delivery was within 2 days, a good week before the promised arrival time.However ... the charger included was 5v, 2.1a - not enough amps for fast charging which needs a 3 amp charger. The USB-A to USB-C cable for charger was *bad* and inoperable. Not worth returning it for this, but that's why the 4-star rating. I'll use wireless or a different charger.

I ordered this phone because it said Verizon, and of course for the camera! It is exactly same size as my pixel 2 which is good because the cases I have purchased for it have all been comically too large! So for now it's in my 2 case, the buttons work but not perfectly as they're a little bit higher than on the pixel 2.When I started the phone up the first message is UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER - DO NOT KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PHONE. I am super unhappy about that, really wanted a LOCKED Verizon phone. I'll keep it for a week but if I have a glitch at all will return.Update: kept the phone but now realize it not only won't run Netflix, but it can't use Google pay either due to the unlocked bootloader. Seller needs to specify this is an unlocked phone when selling as such!

Arrived & works like new. Saved hundreds of $ compared to new & works just as well.

we got two of these to replace the old pixel 2's, I was looking for a 7-8 but they hadn't dropped in price yet. this work great and functions properly. very happy with the purchase.

-Battery Life excellent-Screen has no visible scratches-all the buttons and speakers work-My unit was fully Unlocked (May be different for you as the seller states it's locked to Verizon).Overall the phone is great and have no big complaints except for one issue, my units back casing including around the camera is scratched and worn BIG TIME. Ive purchased on Amazon renewed before and this is by far the work cosmetic condition ive received. Luckily as stated the screen and camera are fine so I guess I'll throw a case on it especially for the price.
