(Electrician) picked this product and said it would offer me whole house protection. He installed it in the outside panel and the installation went smoothly. My first Electrician recommended a $600 product that offered less protection.

After replacing 2 run capacitors on the fridge, and one on the HVAC unit, the defining moment for us was having to replace a $2200 control panel on our BOSCH HVAC unit after multiple power off/power on issues. With the last incident when they they recharged an electrical line after a tree fell on it about a mile from our house the electrical surge fried the control board and tripped 5 circuit breakers on the panel. We did ALOT of research, and finally decided on the Bad Wolf whole house surge protector. Very impressed with the product, ease of installation and customer support. In the picture 20 amp double pole is marked with blue painter tape. We did shut off the power to the house, and double checked to make sure nothing was powered. It’s so easy. It has 4 wires, white goes to neutral. Green to ground and the other two to the circuit breaker. Took 10 minutes from start to finish. My husband wanted to use a 40 amp double pole, and we contacted customer service (Dan) who promptly responded and advised that the recommended 20 amp was preferable. So it is installed with the 20 amp, and will mount to the wall after it is painted. I love the fact this is veteran owned, and that a quality operation is important to them (and me). We now have peace of mind. Totally recommend!

I installed this SPD inside the breaker panel. Will rely on the 20amp 2 pole breaker to trip to tell if the unit suffered a surge. Easy to install yourself, if you know what you're doing inside a breaker panel. I added a 15A tandem breaker to make room for the new 2 pole breaker for the SPD..It seems well built yet still small enough to fit inside the panel. Provided it absorbs the surges like intended I highly recommend it.

I really believe this helps if we ever have solar flares. My son-in-law is an electrician and he knows it will work for the whole house.

It was easy to install, seems to be working but I’ll never be sure until there is a voltage spike of some sort. Other products are more expensive and do not offer as much protection so I appreciate the price, great value for money since it has a surge rating of 260ka (according to the package).

I installed it within 20 minutes. I'm not an electrician. Took my time because it was a panel. So easy. You just need a double pull 20 amp box to insert. Home depot. Turn off the main breaker and follow directions.We will see if it works when we need it. I trust Veterans and knowledge to build!

Relieves my concern about all of my appliances being burnt simultaneously. Get one too.
