Minna No Nihongo Shokyu 1 Text Translation and Grammar English , Hiragana Katakana Chart

This book requires that you know your hirigana and katakana. There are beginner Minna books for this but I just learned my alphabet and early Japanese introduction off apps and purchased this when I wanted more structure. I use Minna in conjunction with various book dictionaries, a kanji workbook and a few phone apps. I feel like this textbook is very immersive. When I started it felt overwhelming, but Japanese IS overwhelming and this takes you through getting it to make sense.The text is small, especially the Furigana. I use extra light and always look up new kanji on my phone. So even at 46 with bad eyesight, I still manage. There are online links for the audio so I skip the CD. Also check out youtubers like Megane Sensei for videos on each chapter.I would buy this book again. I chose Minna over Genki and while I think they are comparable, I feel like an all Japanese book is pushing me along faster.

The books arrived in excellent condition, however the laminated cardstock chart was bent up pretty bad on the edges as it is bigger than the books and this was mailed in a envelope style mailer and not a box. Aside from that it was exactly what I ordered.

Its good just came in a little damaged from the corners but overall amazing i recommend this book for ppl who wana learn japanese!
