Q: Does this leave a matte finish?

No, it is not a matte finish. I use it with Dream Matte Mousse and then a finishing powder. It's what I have right now and I like how it works but when these are over I'm definitely looking for a new foundation.

Q: Is it fragrance free?

I just opened a brand new package and did a mild check to see if I could detect any fragrance and I could not. I also read the ingredients and no fragrance was listed. I also took one last deep test to see if I could detect anything and "nope" there is no odor either.

Q: Would medium dark be the best color for me if I used Covergirl simply ageless classic tan for years?

Probably. I use it during the winter for a little color. The product is sheer.
