Quality feel and make a DMG-01 look brand new.
Everything fits well and seems very close to the actual original quality.

Good shell, bad tools
It's a great shell! Mine came in great condition despite being mailed with only bubble wrap. Though a word of warning, the screwdrivers are really cheap like everyone says. I barely managed to use the tri tip screwdriver to unscrew my Gameboy. The problem is the screws are on there are really tight and the cheap metal on the tool wastes away so I had to apply pressure to force the last screws open. I got lucky so I bought a better tool from a store to put it all back together. But I'm happy with it because my Gameboy looks factory new!

Pretty decent
Overall this is a pretty nice reproduction DMG-01 housing, but not perfect. It looks like an exact replica to the naked eye, although some of the screenprint and embossed letters would not stand up to very close scrutiny. They are generally close enough though for a project build or a re-shell. The color is not an exact reproduction, but these can vary so much due to age I'm not bothered about it. What really is different is the texture/feel of the plastic. It's perfectly nice, with a flat satin touch and feel, but the original plastic has a sort of almost shiny micro-bump texture to it that this copy does not. Probably due to the production process. The one I received fit together very well and was easy to modify for an IPS display. I did not use the included screws, and there may not have been enough of them anyway. They include y-shaped and phillips screwdrivers, which are small and uncomfortable to use, but do the job. I only used the y-head from the kit and it stood up to repeated use. You may need to trim a couple of tiny pieces of plastic with an exacto knife or something - I found one protrusion in the battery compartment that prevented one of the batteries from seating properly. These are part of the mfg process and not really part of the mold, so they are okay to remove and there were only 2 or 3 of them on the interior and nothing on the exterior. The screen "glass" looks fine and has a strong adhesive. I doubt it will ever fall out because as soon as it was applied I could not remove it at all. I used the provided A-B button and D-pad membrane pads since mine were worn out, and they work just fine. I kept my original buttons and d-pad because they are probably much better than what was provided. The included power switch is black plastic when it should be grey, but I just used my original. The battery cover is a more snug fit than the original, which frankly reduces the rattling noises these things always had, but I'm not sure if it will wear in with time. Whether the plastic is durable or will scratch easily I don't know, but the finished assembly fits together nicely and looks extremely close to an original. Just needs some reproduction serial number and battery cover stickers to be pretty convincing.

DMG new case
This new shall has the same color as it was a new game boy. The kit came with all buttons and screws. The screw drivers were to small and you might strip the philips screws. Don’t us the screw driver to take it apart. Overall the shell is top quality but you migh need to trim some plastic for the LCD upgrade screen.

High quality parts
The parts look very similar to original parts. They are pretty easy to install. Very good quality parts and they perform as they should.

Just buy it.
I sincerely don’t normally do reviews. This product crushed it! As everyone says, the tools are garbage. Toss them and use a quality set. I found two things that make it not perfect to the original but they are beyond not even worth pointing out. I plan to do a larger backlit lcd upgrade and didn’t want to hack the original up.

Not worth it! KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL SCREWS AND BUTTONS!
Do NOT use the tools provided. Get yourself some good, quality tools. The shell doesn't fit the boards properly, nor does it fully close up.There were not enough screws included. On top of that, the screws did NOT fit the holes. I had to wear down the holes to get them to go in. They kept trying to go in lopsided. The pegs for the triwing screws were slightly off to the side and I had to GENTLY squeeze the shell's sides to fit my DMG's board into the slots. The battery connectors are VERY LOOSE and will not stay. It led to my gameboy refusing to turn on 9 out of 10 times. I've had to constantly take batteries out and readjust the connectors just to get it to power on.I'm honestly debating getting a refund.
