Perfect disc for dogs who know not to chew
It important that you know two things when teaching a dog to catch frisbee. First off, you need to learn to throw the frisbee so it can be safely caught by your dog, and secondly in this learning phase for you, (and your dog), you should use a soft frisbee.I like this disc. It's regulation size and shape, flies well, but most importantly will not injure your dog if you throw errantly, and it hits the dog straight in the mouth.I read many examples of people buying discs for dogs that will chew the disc to pieces. Obviously, your dog is not ready then for a plastic disc. It needs to be more excited about running and catching than chewing.I started out using "Chuck It" or "Nerf" discs. These are ultra soft and durable. Your dog will catch them at first and then shake the bee jee bees out of it, but it doesn't tear. You then progress to the Sofflite featured here. When you are proficient in throwing short and long distances, you can then progress to a standard grade K-10 Competition disc.Avoid the big heavy discs like from KORE or the ones made from very heavy plastic used for Frisbee golf. These can hurt your dogs mouth, and break teeth.I've read that the disc floats.

Almost perfect
Its very easy to throw and maintain constant high and speed despite I'm a terrible frisbee operator and the dog catches it easily.Perfect size for smaller breed ( mine is 35 lbs)Its slightly softer but not too soft and floppy so it's comfortable for my dog's mouth.I'm aware it's still punched through with bite marks but my dog has harder bites.I still give it 5 stars because the whole user experience is excellent ( me and the dog together). Maybe I will try other model under the same brand for harder bites dog.

Functional but softer on the mouth…
This is a great dog frisbee that maintains shape even after some chewing and folding… and it floats! You don’t won’t your dog to chew on this long term but it flexes enough to not strain their mouths like some other frisbees do…my dog loves this thing!

Not durable as expected
My shepherd mix, 50lb, usually cannot destroy a normal tennis ball in a full week, even two weeks. So I thought that she is not the strongest chewer. After 20 mins we arrived on the ground, it is what it looks like in the pic. It flys well, not hard plastic. I thought because it is rubber, so it may last a few months before she destroy it. Apparently, I was wrong. I probably would buy one with nylon cloth over the edge.
