Simple easy to install KVM, works well for two PCs, one button switch just what I needed.

Bought to run two laptops to a single monitor.Easy enough to setup up (though I put the cable in wrong, failing to note that "out" is in the middle" at first), and it works well.Sometimes there is a delay of a couple fo seconds with my wired keyboard and the monitor as it switches, but nothing terrible. I have a remote headset and webcam fitted to it alongside a wired mouse and keyboard and all 4 work perfectly.It has got a bit warm a couple of times with no real reason for doing so and a couple of time it has failed to pick up a "switch" request. Only other thing I don't like too much is that my laptop which is connected to another monitor fails sometimes to note that its connected to the "switched" monitor at start up but it will still try to send a signal to it which means I see nothing. This issue seems to have sorted itself out recently, but I've no idea why.I'm using DVI to HDMI cables to the switch and HDMI to HDMI from the switch to the monitor.

I didn't expect too much from this, but it just works! Supplied with 2x HDMI cables and 2x USBA-B cables. Plugged the HDMIs into two laptops and the two USBs to their respective laptops (these provide power to the unit so no need for an extra power source), and finally an HDMI to my monitor. Turned on both laptops and now switching is easy - the press of a button! I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo (logitech), a webcam, and some USB speakers all plugged into the unit allowing them to be used from either laptop, and still have one USB socket spare. Can't vouch for the longevity as only just received it, and haven't done proper webcam tests yet for quality but overall for the money, well happy!

I had a minor issue, but the seller was very quick to respond and resolve the issue. Would recommend, the KVM switch does what it says, and the USB 2.0 works with my Focusrite 6i6 audio interface unlike other USB 3.0 hubs

Worked well for 2 to 3 weeks, then mouse starting disconnecting intermittently. Now both keyboard and mouse disconnect frequently.Swapping usb ports sometimes works as a quick fix, but no longer reliable.

Pretty happy with this, it is robust enough and works well. I use it with 3 computers connected to 3 of the 4 VGA inputs, and a wireless mouse/keyboard dongle in one of the USB ports. No problems with operation, it worked fine out the box. The cables are decent quality, the combined USB & VGA cable helps reduce clutter & trailing cables at the KVM end. My only suggestion for improvement would be to put all the sockets on one side of the device, in this model cables stick out all 4 sides making it hard to sit it on the desk neatly. Saying that, it would work well in the center of a meeting room table, if that's what you want it for!

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to a real KVM between my own and a work laptop.It worked fine for half a day. It was great, responsive, etc. Then it started freezing, where my mouse/keyboard inputs would do nothing for a second or two. Then eventually it just stopped working at all.The lights still show; the switch still switches, but in Device Manager, it shows the attached devices as unknown. I've even tried the recommendation here of powering it via the micro-usb port with an old phone charger @ 5v, but that does nothing.Great idea and price. If it worked.
