Kyocera Advanced Ceramic Revolution Series 6-inch Nakiri Vegetable Cleaver, Black Handle, White Blade

This is my second ceramic knife, but only my first good one. The first knife I bought was a cheap knife from an off brand. It wasn't sharp, so I almost never used it. I kept hearing about cermic knives, and I decided to give a second one a chance.This knife, the Kyocera, is actually sharp. I can cut things with it. I haven't broken it yet, which is surprising, because I have a habit of twisting a knife after I cut something, and that's how you break ceramic knifes. So hopefully I'll learn to stop twisting my knife before I break it, and in the meantime this is a good knife.

I've tried a number of cheaper ceramic knives, and they all fall short by comparison. This knife is razor sharp, easy to handle, and has the sharp edge by the handle curved to minimise the chance of cutting yourself. All in all, well worth the few extra dollars.

Cuts tomatoes etc like a light saber

I bought this to replace my favorite Kyocera 7' I had for 25 years, but for a sharpener I purchased last year that had a slot on it marked CERAMIC. Take my advice to the bank, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT RUNING THESE THINGS THROUGH ANY KIND OF SHARPENER. The moment I touched the blade of my old faithful to the sharpener, IT CRACKED! My ceramic was my GO-TO knife for more than two decades and I had to get a replacement. This knife is as my OLD FAITHFUL; the first knife I reach for when I'm prepping. I will be much more careful with it than I was with my first. Excellent knife!
