Dorfman PacificCo. Men's Weathered Cotton Big Brim with Mesh, Brown

I have had 2 / have 1 Dorfman Pacific Hats, both from Beau Chapeau Niagara Falls, Canada and I really liked the DARK OLIVE one that I unfortunately lost. After that I bought the Sand and i was semi happy with it. I prefer dark colours for the woods and i recently Camo pattern coloured it with black sharpie and it looks great. However, it still isn't dark enough, as the base colour is sand.So then I found this DARK BROWN identical hat! The only difference is that it actually has a Wider Brim than the previous 2 and that is definitely welcome. It is also more comfortable and fits a tad bit looser than the other 2, which once again is extremely welcome. The other 2 were a bit head squeezing and when worn for long hours, was a it of an issue. This one is perfect.The only downside for me was that I had to pay shipping and import duties to Canada, but then again I did not get charged local taxes (maybe it's built into the duties ?). So i don't know if i benefited or not. I don't know how NAFTA works now, but things are screwed up. And unless i absolutely cannot get an item within Canada or without duties (which was the case), I will NOT buy it.So point made, this hat is worth it and I ain't gonna loose it this time around.

Fit, shape, weight, coverage and comfort are just what I was looking for. Really nice hat for garden work

My husband's head measurement was between two sizes on the size chart provided, so I took the advice of other purchasers and ordered a size up so that the hat would not be too tight and give my husband a headache. I also made sure that when I purchased the hat, the Amazon "free returns" label was on the style and size that I chose, should the hat not fit when it arrived. Unfortunately, when the hat finally arrived it was indeed WAY too big. I immediately ordered a second hat in the next size down and then started the return process with the first hat. To my surprise, Amazon wanted to charge me $9 to ship the hat back! There was no option to drop it off at Kohl's for free or anything like the normal "free returns" process that I have used before. I looked on the sale page and the hat still showed the "free returns" label. So then I contacted the seller, who did not help me at all. They said that the returns process is up to Amazon, not them, and there was nothing they could do to change it. (Really?) About a month later, the second hat finally arrived. Although the fit is better for my husband than the first hat, there is another issue that would keep me from ever purchasing this particular hat again. The brim is too floppy, and after about ten minutes of sweating in the hat, the brim flops down so low that my husband can't see to do his work and must take off the hat! What good does the hat do him when it is sitting on the ground instead of on his head? These hats aren't cheap and I have wasted the money on TWO of them. Will never buy again.

My wife purchased the same hat at Bi-Mart in later 2020 in a medium size. It was way to small to fit me. So I ordered the same hat, different color (darker), from Amazon in large. It was too large. Even when I added their sizing tape it fit too loose. The disparity in size between medium and large is too extreme. I would suggest a hat brand that is true to size. Don't waste your time and money. My wife's hat brim is much firmer, which tells me that they put less material in the brim of my hat.

Great hat for my husband. His other hat had a brim that kept flipping up and did not keep the sun off his face. This one is sturdy, but not hot. Very satisfied with this purchase. It was almost too big, but we used the provided strips to make it more snug and now it fits perfectly.
