I assumed that this would be a direct swap for the unit I installed 10 years ago. It didn't work. I called tech support and found out that the that used to be on the top of the unit, is now on the bottom. Since I didn't want to redo my tidy cabling, I just mounted the new unit upside down. Works like a champ.

The unit arrived as promised boxed nicely. I even purchased a sure call signal meter to align the outside antenna to the tower which wasn't that far away (3 miles). After everything was hooked up my signal did go from 120 to 98 but even after adjusting the amp as per instructions could not increase my signal range from the booster to the cell phones. The biggest disappointment was the range promised, (8000 feet), what a joke! maybe 100 feet at BEST from the inside antenna. I have allot of pine trees but that should not interfere with the amplification inside my house which is only 3000 feet. Thought I would have signal to spare but that was a joke.

This review is for Ham Radio folks: If you have experience with Ham Radio, this unit really is just another ham radio project, a MM Band Repeater. Problem: Switching SIM cards from Sprint to T-Mobile killed our voice calls from our house. We had 4 bars of reception on the second floor window and poor reception (2 bars) on the first floor of our house. Voice over Internet was garbled on the T Mobile system. Sprint no longer supports Femtocells. Solution: The kit comes with a outdoor vertical Yagi antenna (7-9 dBi gain), a booster (pre-amp and repeater), an interior directional panel antenna (5.5-8 dBi gain), what looks like 50 feet of N terminated LMR 400 and 12 feet of what looks like N terminated LMR 240. I had three plans: 1) use my existing fixed antenna mast, existing 25 feet of LMR 400 coax, MFJ window passthrough, single common grounding point and shack. 2) use a comet window pass through on the first floor. 3) put the outdoor antenna on the top of my 31 foot push up mast. I ended up using the first option as it was a slam dunk installation. I used a map of T Mobile towers to decide where to aim the Outdoor Yagi. Since my shack is on the second floor I just placed the Indoor antenna on the floor and aimed the antenna downward towards the first floor. So my "ceiling antenna" is horizontally polarized which improves the "separation" from the outdoor vertically oriented antenna. Total distance of about 25 feet between the antennas did result in a full gain installation. The directions do not take into account the posterior lobe of the outdoor and indoor Yagis. I just fired up the repeater, waited for 5 green LEDs and ran an Internet speed test (with the wireless network on the phone disabled). This test was optimized as I was sitting on the first floor directly under the indoor antenna with 4 bars of signal. I repeated the test with wireless networking enabled and my T-Mobile wireless upload was much faster than by basic cable Internet upload speed! Voice calls are reported a 5 for Readability. Only time will tell how far I can roam on the first floor with good service. The unit is FCC approved, and does a self check on start up for oscillation and interference. The unit has AGC. Some of the improvement in voice may be attributed to the much better Signal/Noise ratio with an outdoor Yagi antenna when compared to the using only the small antenna inside your cell phone with all of the RF inside of your house. Sort of like comparing a quiet dipole outside the house and a dipole antenna in a noisy attic. Of course, you need to have some decent reception outside of your house for this system to work properly. It goes without saying that if you use a UHF passthrough you will need the appropriate N to UHF adapters and an extra jumper cable. I gave this unit 4 stars as easy to install. For a ham operator I would give it 5 stars as easy to install. For a non hams, getting the antenna on the roof and the coax through the exterior walls might be challenging. As for RF safety, the instructions require 8 inches of clearance from the indoor antenna. I put a plastic crate over my indoor antenna on the floor. You may want to mount your indoor antenna on the ceiling or on a vertical wall aimed away from the outdoor Yagi. 73s.

Did not use tech support had a friend help install it it works great 0-1 bars now 3-5 bars lte & 5g on an iPhone where we barely had any service my friend bragged about their products so I took the chance with them

Had issues with signal dropping down within 5 to 10 feet from inside antennaCalled and talked to Technician. A tech 2 was to get back to me/ 24 to 48 hrs. After 5 days I sent it back and 4 weeks still never heard back
