Glides over the strings like they aren’t there
Best Jazz III picks hands down. Best picks for electric guitar. Depth of sound and glides over the strings better than any other jazz iii. Incredible sound and control. You don’t need to be a crazy shredder for these picks to shine.

Fantastic - wish it was more than a 3 Pack
These picks rule. One of if not my all time favorite Jazz III's. they last a long time too

Sticks to the String
I had never used a pick made of "Ultex" before this and was looking forward to giving it a try. The tone is good. Unfortunately the edge of the pick does not glide smoothly over the strings. Rather, it sticks, minutely increasing the lag between pick strokes and slowing you down. It takes a huge conscious effort to keep the pick moving in time. I'm keeping the picks because I view them as a training tool to keep the strokes from penetrating too deeply between strings. The upstroke is a real challenge because the drag increases greatly on the upstroke over the downstroke (I'm using a Benson-style, backward grip). But nothing is going to cure this awful material of its high-friction-high-drag quality. Sorry, but a big disappointment.

Ordered 6-pack, came with 3
Purchased a 6-pack, but only came with 3 (packaging lists "3 picks" so perhaps it was supposed to come with two packages?) Picks are the greatest, but seller didn't provide what I purchased.

My favorite pick
If you like Jim Dunlop Jazz III picks (and I do) these are some of the nicest. They are almost identical to the Primetone Sculpted Plectra Jazz III picks, just a slight difference that these have raised letters versus the Sculpted Plectra's grip. Both are made of the brownish red Ultex and have a beveled playing edge. I'm not sure which of these two I prefer, but they are tied for my favorite Jazz III picks. To compare these to some other Jazz III picks: Standard Ultex does not have a beveled edge. Red nylon and Stiffo are slicker, and don't have beveled edges. The Eric Johnson red nylon is not as polished so falls between standard Ultex and standard red nylon. The Max Grip variants have better grip texture (go figure). The Max Grip with carbon is noticeably rougher and stiff; I don't love them. Tortex Jazz III picks are harder to compare due to their variety, but both the purple and black ones I have are more papery-textured. Finally, the John Petrucci Signature Jazz III (not these) are my least favorite. They feel cheap and big and not like the Ultex material Jim Dunlop claims they are made of. I don't even consider them Jazz III picks. It's odd that the two picks JP put his name on are polar opposites on the Jazz III spectrum.

I wasn’t happy that the picks came dull and dusty
Bought these for my partner who is an avid guitar player. I wasn’t happy that the picks came dull and dusty. They didn’t look like the photos. Otherwise they are nice, and he likes them a lot.The pick on the left is straight out of the packaging. It’s not red at all, but a dingy grey. The pick on the right has been wiped clean once and you can begin to see the red color. Still dust in the lettering groves that won’t come clean yet.

my new #1 pick
I had been using JP jazz III, which are a little bit larger than these. Those are good, but then I tried the JP sample pack, which includes a couple of these.Wow, they feel just great. I had tried Eric Johnson jazz III but the grip was not there for me.But these are my new #1 pick. Great tone, grip and comfort.
