Not built to last
Very comfortable from day one.However...Not even a year old and numerous parts of the sole and boot are coming apart. What ever the glue/processing was these are failing way too soon. The tread should be worn down at least a little before the boot starts to fall apart. The toe caps / glue is just coming away from the boot exposing the stitching etc. They are no longer waterproof.

So comfortable. Very impressed.
I have to say I am honestly amazed at how comfortable this boot is. I thought my ECCO Track boots were amazing but somehow this feels possibly even better. Was out with them yesterday for a few hours in patches of bog water up to the second from top eyelets (really a welly day) and both feet stayed totally dry but the leather did soak a lot of water so I have now applied some water repellent spray (on the advice of the boot care card that came with them, better late than never) and may even add a little clear wax polish to try as the boot does get heavier when soaked so maybe sacrifice some breathability but I can live with that as I want the boot for mostly cold wet conditions just for day out walks. Wish I had had a camera along as they looked great blended in with the bog path winter detritus.I went for black as I don't really like wearing brown boots though they look good? I did get a bigger size 12 (normally 11) for a thicker sock. I would not say these are a wide boot but with the larger size I have plenty of room with nothing pressing anywhere on my feet. I did change the spongy insole to a firmer thicker one (from one of my other Hi-Tec boots) and now the fit and comfort is really perfect. I have lots of boots but this feels just superb for me with a standard foot. I also changed the laces to a darker charcoal pair as I didn't really like the grey ones that came with the boot (they are now on a Hi-Tec boot so things do get swopped around). BTW this UK 12 is 46 EU but they say 47 on the website? The boot feels comparatively light when not sodden and very stable underfoot like it's a proper rough or off path boot & that's about all I can say at the moment. I'm not heavy on boots with many miles of hiking or big backpacks or whatever so I expect they should be durable enough for me. Certainly no fault with them at the moment and it's always a risk with any boot & brand that it may fail sooner or later and a lot down to luck.I have several other Karrimor boots (Brecon, Bobcat) & they have been fine but they are smaller and mostly for thinner sock use. I still have an old Tour 2 model that I bought about 15 or more years ago and still find brilliantly comfortable and it's still waterproof and plenty of sole left so that one is certainly durable. I think it's immortal? Some some last, some don't. You just have to wait and see what happens but for now this boot is just what I need at a good price and I like wearing it so I have gone and ordered another pair to have as a backup as I like them that much and fingers crossed that they last a reasonable time.

Comfortable, lightweight boots
Really happy with these. Bought them for an upcoming winter trip to northern Norway, where their light weight and waterproof features will be invaluable. Well made and look great too.
