Really Bright Headlight/ Taillight Combo
The lights came together as a set in separate boxes and plastic wrapped together. Inside each box was the light, its mounting strap, USB charging cable, and detailed instructions. The taillight needs to be mounted to the strap with a small included screw. Its operation between the modes is just a matter of pressing the power button until you reach the desired mode. The headlight is a little harder to figure out. You have a lock mode, night mode, and a day mode. The night and day modes have different brightness levels as well as solid and flashing modes. It was a bit confusing at first to get to the setting I wanted with the headlight, but after becoming more familiar with it it's not a problem anymore. The headlight lock mode is nice because I store my lights in my bike bag when not riding. When in a store I carry the bag with a shoulder strap so the bag can get bounced around. In lock mode I don't need to worry about the light accidentally turning on. Just remember to bring the light out of lock mode when ready to use it again. Read and understand the instructions and the headlight is easier to operate. The taillight is much simpler to operate usually just pressing the power button repeatedly to get the desired mode.I'm really happy with the brightness of this bicycle light combination. The headlight beam is bright enough to noticeably bounce off of reflective street signs that are a block ahead. Most of my commuting is in daylight so this headlight/ taillight pair has really helped to make my bike stand out on the street. To switch from night mode to day mode make sure to hold the power button down for about 3 seconds and you're good to go.I use the taillight both on my round seat post and on the side of my rear bike rack when carrying objects (on the rack). When the light is on the rack's side, I mount it where two bars intersect and the flexible strap conforms to the shape of the bars. Fortunately, I do not need to adjust the angle of the light when switching positions so I don't have to deal with the adjustment screw that others have mentioned as bothersome. Both flexible straps have held the lights in place without them shifting while bouncing on pothole/ washboard streets.I don't know how long the charge will last on these lights (short commutes) and it depends on the mode you use. But. on flashing day mode they easily ran all week for me. I just recharged them to keep them topped off because they don't really have a charge indicator indicating the remaining charge level until the charge is close to depleted (lights will flash on low charge).I haven't yet ridden at night with the lights but based on the daytime brightness, I am confident they will do fine. Inside an old darken garage, they will light up the place like it's a celebration. The headlight night mode has several different levels of brightness and flashing settings so it should handle most situations. The USB covers seem to seal the ports tightly, but I haven't tested the waterproof aspect yet (no rain). Some may not like that the actual taillight flashes when it is recharging. I place it somewhere the light won't distract anyone like a small open box until it's fully charged. While these lights don't have a lot of bells and whistles, their brightness works for this mostly daytime rider.

Impressive brightness, easy to set up and use
I just received the head and tail lights, charged them, played with them and mounted them on my road bike. The units appear to be very well made and sturdy, the instructions accurate and complete, and the brightness is astounding. Really .... don't look onto the light. They mounted easily onto my Trek bike.Sooo ... right now I think I made a very good purchase. I'll update this review if trouble ensues. One suggestion to CECO about the headlight mounting. The bike mounting is quite simple and the bracket was easily attached to my handlebar. The headlight then slides onto the mounting bracket and clicks into place. The tolerance on the sliding part is much too tight and it was very difficult to slide the headlight to the point where the latching mechanism clicks. After I got it properly attached, it took incredible strength and clever pressure application to get the light unmounted from the handlebar mounting bracket. I slathered the slide mechanism with silicon lubricant and it made inserting and extracting the headlight a little bit easier. CECO needs to work on this.

Great buy for a new-to-cycling commuter.
No complaints about this set. Super easy to mount wherever you need to on your bike... Battery life is great. Very bright, and I like that the tail light has multiple modes/settings. Highly recommend these!
