Effective water shoes for trips
Purchased in preparation for for a trip to Mexico.Used it multiple times, wearing it for water activities like going to the beach or going into cenotes. They even served fairly decently as casual wear shoes where sometimes I would just wear these shoes for the entire day instead of carrying a spare pair of shoes. The shoes also provide great grip on wet surfaces. The only downside that I see is that the holes on the sole of the shoe are just magnets for pebbles. I wore these and walked over a gravel trail and by the end of the trail the bottom of the shoe was just filled with pebbles. They get lodged into the openings are a pain to remove later on. Another slight quirk is that one of the cap covers for the laces has already broken off. Functionally, the laces are still secure, but the quality seems to just decent. As for the sizing. I wear a 9.5 shoe. I ordered a 10 and it ended up being a bit too roomy in the front the shoe. I ended up returning and getting a size smaller.Long story short. A great purchase if you're planning on spending time near water. I would recommend even with the quirks I mentioned.

Best water shoes that double as casual shoes
I bought these for my Finance and he loves them. I purchased them for a water pack trip we were making (since walking barefoot on cement is not always pleasant) and at first he thought it wasn't a necessary purchase. Now he loves them.Water shoe review:These drain water nicely, though they don't necessarily dry fast. The mesh upper plus tiny drain holes in the inset paired with the giant drain holes in the shoe makes for the perfect breathable shoe. No puddles in the foot zone. They were also very comfortable to walk around in.As an everyday show review:these are great for quick outings. My fiancé wore them to work and no one realized they were water shoes until he told people (now his co-workers want these too because they liked them). He says they are great in summer because his feet can breath (for reference, he usually wears Meril boots, so these a significantly lighter than his usual footwear of choice). He loves them and will purchase again for just casual shoe use.other sizing note: my finance usually needs wide shoe sizing, but the upper mesh is so stretchy that these worked fine.Positive note: I got the women's version for myself (so we match) and I love them as well

Wore them to Cancún trip
Been wearing them everyday so far and I love them. They look stylish. They definitely aren’t wearing out,And I’ve been walking a lot. They dry really fast and sand comes out quickly. I recommend. They look like cool running shoes. Slip off easily and even if you get them and they run a little big, the strings provide enough tension to tighten them and keep shoe secure.

Good as ventilated shoes
First, let me state I didn’t purchase these shoes for their intended purpose, as water shoes. I am not wearing them as intended either. After my wife instituted a no outdoor shoes in the house rule, I bought them to use as house shoes. Having problem feet, going around barefoot is uncomfortable. Originally, I was wearing sandals. This worked reasonably well, except many of the sandals have rubber underneath your feet that can cause moisture problems since they neither breathe nor wick dampness away, and socks aren’t an option. Socks look stupid with sandals! Even indoors where nobody sees you. When I saw the pictures of these shoes, I immediately realized they looked perfect for improving air flow around my feet. Not only do they have mesh around the top, but they have ventilation across the bottom as well. When you walk, you can feel the cool air swirling around your feet.As soon as I wore them, they exceeded my expectations for my particular use. Not only do they keep my feet dry, they also have reasonably good support. By the end of the day, my feet aren’t sore. I should add that I wear them with socks like sneakers. They have good traction on wood floors, tile and polished cement.I can’t speak to their use outside, or on dirty surfaces. Pooled water, mud, fine dirt or other less than pristine conditions would probably not be so great. Like the air flow, all these things would have direct access to the bottom of your feet. If you walk on clean sidewalks and other exterior surfaces, I’d imagine you’d be fine with these outside the house. They slip on, which is helpful if you have a bad back.On the negative side, I’m not too fond of the two bell shaped plastic details on the end of the laces. The little plastic cinching device doesn’t hold very well, but does not cause issues for me since the shoes fit snugly, even when the laces are loose. I slide the whole thing through the crossing laces to the bottom so nothing is swinging around. This doesn’t bother me, but from a style perspective, it’s a little clunky. I imagine I could remedy this by removing the plastic parts and tying a bow. I’m too lazy to bother with it. The gray trim paint that runs between the mesh top and the treads wears off if abraded. Also, the black tread details, where they wrap around the shoe and become visible on the sides, have separated slightly from the white tread. If I cared, I could probably fix this with a little super glue. None of these issues overrides the benefits from my perspective. These shoes have proven to be durable for my daily inside use of 13 months. Given their current condition, I would estimate they will still be usable for a long while with similar wear. I can not speak to longevity with outside use or use in water. For my purpose, these have been perfect. I was so pleased with the ones I’m wearing at this moment, purchased back in November 2021, that I bought several extra pairs. At around $22, they are a good deal for my intended use. I get disappointed when I have something I like that is no longer available when I need to replace it.Since I’m not using these as advertised and I never read the 5 star ratings anyways. I only read the 2, 3 and 4 star ratings since they are the most informative. I’m giving this item 4 stars. Just shy of perfect for my use.

Has held up great so far
I ordered these for my husband to wear when we went white water rafting and so far he loves them. He wears them when we go to the lake and I’ve even caught him wearing them on days we were just hanging out since our temps have been 100 + degrees and so far so good. They’re definitely worth giving a try.
