Good buy
This is really cute and the quality is good. Other reviews scared me but I bought it anyway and have no regrets

Neat globe, worth paying a little extra
Bought this for my kiddo's Halloween costume. It's not cheap martial, and seems like it will last for him to continue to play with. I like that it had the actual satellite images.

Nice, but needed replacement
I purchased this for my grandchildren and absolutely love it, as do they. The drawback is the first one leaks, and the leak is around the inflation nozzle making it nearly impossible to repair - so missed the child's birthday. The globe itself is absolutely beautiful. Despite having to reorder (and hence double the price) I am still satisfied with the value for cost. The rendering of the pictures is just amazing.

Great teaching and learning tool, well made
Beautiful model of the earth with glow in the dark city lights you can feel. Large, easy to inflate, durable. No leaks many months later. Had a little vinyl odor that faded over a day or two. Looks exactly like the picture.

Chinese Garbage
I teach a space elective at a university. I wanted the earth beach ball as a teaching aid to discuss orbitology. Brought the package into the office the day of the class. Inflated the ball. Realized that was a mistake as I ended up covered in dust from the ball (probably to keep it from sticking to itself in storage, so no points deducted). After inflating the ball I expected to be able to close the valve, which I attempted. Seconds later the valve opened itself (pressure from the air), and deflated. Tried a number of times. No joy. The graphics on the ball are okay. You definitely know it's earth imagery, but there are green dots all over the land masses that degrade the quality of the print. If the ball held air I'd give it 4 stars, since it won't stay inflated, it gets 1 because amazon to provide a zero star option.

Durable 24 inch globe
I gave this glow globe to my two year old, and she is pretty rough playing with it for two months. It's holding its air. It holds pressure well enough, so that its solid enough to bounce nicely when it hits things. It doesn't seem to glow at all, at least not noticeably, but it's so nice for playing with the toddler, that it gets top marks.

The GOOD Earth!
I don't know what everyone is complaining about... I LOVE this thing! I bought it to do a presentation about the earth, moon, and Apollo 11 (I previously bought a 5 inch moon that lights up inside - close to the actual proportions). People were AMAZED when they saw the relative sizes and even MORE amazed when they saw they'd have to be 40 feet apart to truly represent the earth-moon system! This earth is a real attention grabber. Yes, it's a beach ball, and yes it has seams, but from any kind of distance it's really cool looking, IMO, and at this price is well worth it.

Good Inflatable Globe but Cities hardly glow
I bought this in the Spring 2014 and it was delivered on time ,if not, ahead of delivery time and it was in good condition. I 'm very pleased with the transaction and delivery . The ball inflated well for me and stayed fully inflated too. This also came with an interesting 16 page booklet on the Science and history of this fun Earth ball.Turning to my review and critique of this wonderful inflating Earth globe , I almost gave this product 4 stars. It's just that I thought it could have been a little bit better and it was certainly inferior to being 5 stars in my opinion. I 'd give it more like 3 & half stars more specifically . First off , the satellite imagery is not what you 'd expect. The satellite imagery all around the globe is okay but it's not that bad . Just mediocre picture quality and the color looks kind of washed out / pale . It's not what you 'd see in an Atlas of satellite Earth photos. Second , when you take this globe into a very dark room , the cities hardly glow at all. After holding the globe up to a very bright light for a couple minutes , and then taking it into the dark - the cities do glow but hardly at all ( they're all " very dim glowing dots .") You can hardly notice any glow even after holding the Earth ball up to a bright light and then taking it into a pitch-black, dark room! Although some reviewers did not like all the clouds plastered all over this Earth ball , I believe this is supposed to show the Earth's weather on it which the included Global Handbook says in it . So , please know that this has clouds over it and it was designed to be so, to show the Earth's atmosphere .Overall , what kept me from giving this 5 stars is that I thought that the imagery on the Earth ball could be of a little better quality and deeper color and , the glow of the world cities could be much brighter too. Still , to the contrary of those criticisms , I more rather enjoyed this item ; but , again , I just wish that its city dots would glow much brighter in the dark. In all, this is an interesting , good Earth ball toy that kids would really enjoy as well as most adults . In my opinion, it makes an excellent gift item for a gift- giving holiday !
