This is an outstanding, beautiful, quality and unusual chess set.
The set is beautiful and of outstanding quality. The pieces are so well crafted and highly detailed. The board is simply gorgeous. The set is like a collector’s item……a real eye-catcher and very unique.I bought it for my son for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He’s also a history buff and so this could not be more perfect.The pieces are well boxed in foam to protect them. I wish the board had a protective carrying case. As it is large, i am going to see if i can find a padded art tote that the board can be stored in - this will protect it and also enable it to travel safely. Highly highly highly recommend this set!!! It also was delivered in a well wrapped box and excellently packed to get it to its dest8natiin wihout incident!

Beautiful set. Handcrafted pieces . Large size not for kids. Wish it came with rules and a wooden box to put away in. To large to use for travel the board is 17".

Magnificent, much better than expected.
I don’t write reviews unless I feel absolutely compelled to for one reason or another, and I think this is my first here on Amazon. I’ll cut to the chase, this is a fine chess set, better than I expected and looks very classy. Well worth the money. The delivery timeframe was better than the schedule and it came carefully packaged. So whoever you are making, selling and shipping this magnificent set, thank you!

Good quality
Very well made and attractive chess set, I'm very happy, it's better than the photos. Merry Christmas to me.

The board isn’t bad. The pieces though are extremely cheap. There is no weight to them. No felt on the bottom. They are cheaply made & it shows. The board is packed separate from the pieces & it feels like it’s 2 completely different products made into one to drive the cost up. I like the board, but it’s definitely not worth $135 nice.I am going to keep looking for a nice chess set. This one may still yet be returned.

Quality
Beautiful set except when pieces are on the board players can't tell difference between Queen and bishops from the back. Had to put a dot of paint on the back in different colors. From the back view hard to tell what is what. I bought this set as a gift and I'm disappointed in this problem. I do not recommend.

I bought this for my granddaugter for Christmas. She is going to love it. I also showed my son the set and he absolutely loved it.
