SanDisk Ultra Fit 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive - SDCZ43-016G-GAM46

I didn't get this drive for it's speed so the heat issue has not been an issue for me. I got it to use for playing MP3s in my truck, and it works perfect. I haven't had any heat issues, corruption issues, or lag loss issues.The USB drive I was using in my truck was too big for the USB location and would get in the way of one of the cup holders and I was concerned it would get broken off by someone reaching for something in the cup holder.The compact design of this drive is perfect for that space and I'm not concerned about it even getting bumped much less broken off inside the USB port.The 16gig size is good for my MP3s with some room to spare, it's not like I'm in the truck 60+ hrs at a time, lol.I would definitely recommend this drive if you need compact and out of the way, if you are concerned about the heat get a larger drive with better heat sync would be my suggestion.

I am very happy with this purchase. I use my computer for work daily and like to save my reports and pictures to an external drive instead of my laptop. Up until now i have been using a SD card in the reader slot that i leave in all the time. While it causes some inconvenience with fitting into a bag the big problem is that the SD card is not very sturdy and i have been afraid for some time now of breaking it and loosing data I have yet to back up. Regular flash drives are simply to big to leave in all the time.Not this product! I was pleasantly surprised by how low profile it was once plugged in. Some of the other reviews indicated it may stick out a bit further, may be a difference in computers, as mine is fairly close. I have included a picture with the SD card in to show the difference between the two. Now my laptop slips right into my bag without problem.The big complaint with these micro flash drives it heat. As I said I transfer data files, a word doc/ pdf, and maybe 50 pics or so on average at a time. Not exactly 60gb worth of data. I think at the end of the day the reality is if you plan on transferring huge loads of files at once you will be better off using a full size flash drive. These simply do not have enough surface area/ air flow to remain cool. I have had no issue with heat even when I did a few GB initial dump of some files onto the drive. It was certainly warm to the touch when removed but no where close to concerning. I am sure if transferring for longer amounts of time that would change.Bottom line is if you need a small drive that you can even leave in all the time to keep files on this will work perfectly. I can't help but to think how nice this would have been in high school to have avoided carrying around floppy disks!

Perfect for the right job. This is a very small package. Barely protrudes 1/2" beyond the USB port it is plugged into. The red LED in the end is convenient to indicate accessing. I used it as supplemental memory in an aerial TV tuner/DVR. Perfect for the front-panel port - it's almost invisible. No problems. Fast and reliable access.

SanDisk Ultra Fit flash drives can store hordes of data without loss of data or corruption. In spite of its small size, the flash drive works nicely in the computer and enables easy writing documents and files better than DVD-R discs.

Died after being plugged for ~4 years into an appliance that wrote 2-3 small log files per day on weekdays. Drive is now completely inaccessible when plugged into a PC, and no way to recover the logs from it.

Bought this as a low profile backup MP3 flash for my car. Works fine so I don't always have to synch up my phone. It is pretty small, but still not quite small enough for the MP3 cover to close over it. It closes enough to where it's not visible though, and that works fine for me.

Perfect for my digital photo frame as it is low profile and is kept in place other than when I want to remove it to add more photos. I would be hesitant to use this as my primary flash drive as I think I would probably misplace it within my brief case or accidentally pull it out of my pants pocket and drop it given its very small size.
