Very bright, lasts 6 months on a set of batteries
We found this light to work very well. It correctly turns on when there's motion (entering the room) and does not activate when there's already sufficient light in the room. When it turns on it remains on for 13 seconds after all motion stops, which is very good. In our experience the light lasts for 6 months on a set of four Energizer Max AA batteries. The plastic case includes an integral rubber gasket sealing the battery compartment. Very nicely done!We use two 3M Velcro type adhesive strips to secure it to the wall rather than screwing it to the wall or using permanent adhesive strips since we're in a rental unit and didn't want to mar the wall.We found this light to be so bright (used in the bathroom for night visits) that initially we placed some brown cellophane packing tape on the white reflective surface that the LED lamp uses to bounce the light into the room to provide less illumination. Then, a year later and after consuming two sets of batteries I disassembled the case (4 Philips head screws in the corners) and easily wired in a 100 ohm resister to drop the light output to about 40% of the original brightness (measured using a Lux metering App). Now it seems much better suited to our purpose and (just maybe) the batteries will last even longer! The case provides ample room for such a mod. (See the attached picture.)Overall, a great product and we give it 5 stars.

These are awesome, bought 3 X, all over house, gifted 5x to family.
Would give 10 stars out of 5 if it was an option. These are actually amber.Been using them for several years.Gave 3 of them to 5 family members.Have at least six around the house. If placed correctly they will light up as you walk through the house.Lights up the floor not in your face and the ceiling.Placed under the edge of the bed and it will light up as your feet come off the bed, it is great.Does not screw up melatonin and sleep.Batteries last about a year plus unless a cat r dog starts messing with it, then 3 to 5 months. When the batteries are getting weak the light will stop turning off automatically.I am about to buy another one to use as a light by the bed, for getting stuff up on shelves and out of drawers, and closet without waking my wife. I work an odd shift schedule and often come in and leave while she is asleep. I have been using one of the others but want to out it back in place. I pick it up and it turns on, when done I simply lay it face down, stays on long enough for me to get under the covers and situated and then turns itself off.Highly recommend.

Bought one for nightly toilet time...and then many more! Especially great for seniors.
I originally bought this nightlight because I wanted a motion-sensing light for our master bathroom toilet area, primarily to help my husband hit his "target" in the middle of the night. Although not terribly expensive, this little light has been PERFECT. The amber glow is ample, but not harsh. And the motion sensing/turn off is always spot on. So we bought another one for our bedroom, and then the hallway, and the staircase, and the foyer, and on and on. Then we purchased several more for my senior parents, to light up their home for safety as well! We do not actually use the mounting feature on these lights, so that we can easily relocate them and set them wherever we need to: countertop, table, window sill, stair, or anywhere on the floor. Highly recommend!

good but disappointed in the brightness.
I purchased this product before. I like the fact that a person can go into the bathroom at night and not have to turn on bright overhead lights. I was disappointed in this last one because the light is amber colored and not as bright as the first one i purchased, that had a white light.

Highly recommended! Useful lights for semi-blind animals/cats, motion detection is good. Long review
I like these lights a lot. They are not very portable, need to stick them to the wall or something, but could be moved I supposed. These lights are yellow, it is much better than the white lights for your eyes at night, and they are not quite as bright and annoying. As I also use one on the bottom of my bedframe so it illuminates part of the room when the cat walks by. But because the bed frame overhangs it is not quite as bright for we humans.Motion detection works well, a little too well for humans actually, more than 2-3 meters away they will activate. A bit too much for my liking, but that is ok. My cat needs to get closer to them, much closer, like within 50-100cm I think.I would recommend them even though I am not 100% in love with them as a lot of the alternatives are not very good. This brand seems more humanized. Even though I am using them for my cat. Recommended. I would buy again for sure if I needed more.I currently use four of these in my house, two white and two yellow, I have two remaining.Battery life, I cannot comment on much yet, I have used them for about two months now, and I walk a lot after I turn off my lights, so I guess they are activated at least 5-20 times a day/night, including in the day time hours. So I guess the batteries will at least go for another 1-2 months. I feel they are starting to dim just a bit. I use rechargeable eneloop batteries also, the black ones, they have more power so they will last a bit longer.I bought some velcro stickers to attach to the wall and the back of the units. You need to cut them out right to avoid tapping over the battery compartment sides, otherwise it will be a waste. I used two, one on the top and one on the bottom of the unit as they are a bit heavy and I don't want them to fall on my cat. I placed most of them about 10cm off the floor, 10cm bottom of light to floor that is. So that when my cat walks buy they will activate. Any higher and for some reason they don't activate very well, and 10cm is enough to brighten a small area.I would buy again for sure if I needed more.
