Excellent product, super friendly company
I bought these vanilla beans to make my own vanilla extract (which is really easy to do! All you do is submerge the beans in good quality vodka and leave it to itself for at least two months - the longer the better). The beans were fresh and have an excellent aroma and flavour. My pure vanilla extract has turned out beautifully.I also really liked the company's style: they sent a free sampling of a range of their other spices and a sweet note about the women they work with in Kerala.

Expensive
Got the product few days back. opened it yesterday after quartine. The packaging of the product is excellent. But found only 3 beans in the package. The price seems to be on a higher side when compared to the quantum. Not a value for money

The worst vanilla I ever had.
I love vanilla but this tasted horrible. It didn't even taste like vanilla but some weird nutty after taste that had a hint of bitterness and it ruined my cake and brownie. DO NOT GO FOR IT.

Loved it
Put it for making Vanilla Essence the very day I bought it. When you buy 10gm Vanilla Bean, you'll get 3 strands, the online recipe for Homemade Vanilla Essence calls for 7 strands, so I reduced the Alcohol amount in it..Will see how this turns out and update..So far, the minute we opened the pack, the smell was so divine ...Aahh :)Update on April 2019, two years later that vanilla essence is almost over. It was really rich. I made one batch in alcohol, one in food glycerine. The one in alcohol gave a stronger flavorI purchased in 500rs but now price has gone up to 800!

Aroma could have been a bit more intense
I make my own vanilla extract and tried ordering from this brand for the first time & glad to inform that flavourwise it was good but the fragrance was bit mild which could have been more intense.

Fresh, good quality pods
Very good quality beans, plump and fresh, got 3 beans in 10 g, strong scent and flavor in cold application, mild flavor in hot applications.

Fungus/Mold growth when opening the pack
The vanilla pods had fungal/mold growth when opened after delivery. Though the pods had a good smell - we were not comfortable using it in our preparations. Googling for the same indicates that these pods may have been harvested earlier than the right time of maturity - This is not what I expect when I pay a premium to get good products.
