Q: Are these nfpa standard rated wildland boots?

No. They're fantastic station boots, but they do not meet NFPA standards and do not have the Vibram sole required for wildland operations.

Q: Are these real or fake

I think fake. I bought my first pair from a catalog for law enforcement. Had them for about 3 years and biught my second pair from Amazon. They were not as comfortable as the first pair and squeaked a lot. Had them for about a year and am noticing that the upper is not leather....they look identical so either Thorogood changed quality or they are fake.

Q: How much does it weigh?

If you read, the product page says the product weight is 6 pounds so they probably weigh about 6 pounds.

Q: Seller: some people claim these have a composite toe while other claim theirs are soft toed, which is it??

The boots have a composite shank which helps them keep their shape and provide support, but have a soft leather toe and heel that seems to hold a shine without much maintenance. Marched in a Veterans Day parade yesterday and was asked about the cost of the boots by several other veterans that liked their look. My feet liked them also!
