THE NORTH FACE Borealis Commuter Laptop Backpack, Asphalt Grey Light Heather/TNF Black, One Size

I must admit this purchase was for my brother in law as a Christmas present, I already owned this pack. I have a number of packs ranging from Cuban fiber Ultralight jobs and through hiking 40 liter bags to tactical Maxpedition type packs. This pack falls nicely in the center. By no means Ultralight, but also not super heavy or overbuilt either, a little of both. Northface has their fingers in alot of outdoor endeavors. The sheer size of the company affords them availability to all types of different materials which can be used for different parts of the pack. Thick and reinforced on the bottom to lightweight on side panels. The design is good blend, a hybrid. It would fit in as a laptop bag on a train to a decent day pack on the trail. I personally employ it as a combo travel/ hiking bag when I want one pack I could use to get there, and use once I do.I would keep the weight under15 pounds which is easy to reach if you're carrying adequate water. The quality is there and mine has held up well.Hope this helps

Just recieved this for my grandson who is going to High School, he loves it and so do I. Its large enough to fit all his books a change of clothes if necessary and it has a compartment for his laptop, pockets for iphone, power bank, wallet and so many other things. Best of all its of good quality material and waterproof. We live in NYC so our weather is crazy. Overall it looks great and I think I'm winning with this purchase. Thank you Amazon.

I travel a lot for work and this is a great carry on bag. It fits my large coats for the winter and then can be sinched up to reduce the size of it when it is not fully packed. Sturdy zippers. Comfortable. Keeps computer secure and protected. I always check a bag for clothes so I do not use it as luggage only for computer, notepads, coats, etc.

I got this for my middle schooler and it holds a ton! I love that it has so many compartments! Really helps him stay organized and even has a separate compartment for his iPad.

I always purchase North Face backpacks, I like their look and quality much more than other, comparable backpacks. This particular backpack is no exception. It is very sleek and looks great. There are plenty of pockets and functional zippers, which make it useful for everyday or traveling. It can easily fit a laptop, book, change of clothes, wallet and some toiletries.

Backpack is heavy duty. Plenty big for freshman backpack nice looking too!
