Bought this as a temporary replacement for a La-Z-Boy (Lazyboy, so this appears in searches) lift chair. It does not respond at all. This has a 5-pin DIN connector (round connector with 5 pins). The original remote is an 8-pin DIN connector. The shape and indent are compatible and the little plastic protrusions that keep the parts together were also compatible. But the pin definitions must be different between these generic controls and the 8-pin control.So if the remote you are replacing has 8 pins on its round connector, this remote will probably not work for you. I would gladly welcome a compatible remote for 3x this price! The ordering process for La-Z-Boy replacement parts is horrible and stuck in the 1970s. But that's not the fault of this product or manufacturer. :)The remote arrived in great shape and well packaged and I am sure it will work just fine as an inexpensive replacement for compatible furniture.The wire protection on this remote (where it enters the remote) feels extra solid and secure. The body construction looks and feels very secure. The buttons feel a bit cheap, however, and I don't know much wear they can handle. They are not sealed and likely would be damaged from water or anything else spilled on the remote. This is just my opinion.But for 15 bucks, even if you had to replace it every year or two, it still seems like a bargain! (Plastic waste aside).
