Shadowline Women's Plus-Size Beloved 53-Inch Braided Spaghetti Strap Long Gown

Love it so much, I'm buying another one. I'm a big gal, and I worried about ordering something with spaghetti straps and lace trim, for fear the gown would fall apart the moment I rolled over in bed. On the contrary, it is so well-designed and constructed I can tell it will hold up for years. It washes beautifully and is very comfortable to sleep in. I wear a 2X in clothing and debated ordering a 2X or a 1X, because I know from experience that nightgowns usually run large. I ordered the 2X but am going with the 1X on the next one. I read some negative reviews about it being too long and of inferior quality, and can only guess that these folks did not bother to read how long the gown is (53") or that it is made of nylon. My gown measured 54" from top to bottom, which is pretty close to the mark. The nylon fabric is not flimsy and see-through like some cheap nightgowns, AND, the hem did not roll up in the wash, as it has on some bargain nylon nightgowns I have bought (and thrown away). I have worn long nylon nightgowns all my life, and I know a couple brands, including Shadowline and Miss Elaine, can always be relied upon for quality gowns. They do tend to use heavier nylon than some bargain brands. This time, I was looking for something a little more glamorous than my usual butterfly sleeve number, and this gown fits the bill perfectly. It's elegant and a tad bit sexy, without being too revealing.

The best nightgown I have had in over 30 years! I ordered a 3X in black and am very pleased. It is not see-through, it covers well, and is so pretty and comfortable. And cool! Rolling over in bed is a breeze! It doesn't bunch up like cotton nightgowns. It's not hot like knit nightgowns. The back dips low and the braided straps are soft, affording the feeling of sleeping au natural. The design engineers did a wonderful job because the straps don't fall off my shoulders and even in a 3X the front is flattering and well-proportioned. The lace is not scratchy. The gown floats as I walk and the fabric is wonderfully cool. The "lettuce edge" is a nice touch, too. I am going to order another one. If you are looking for a nice nightgown for yourself or to give as a gift, this is a great choice. It is very well made, pretty, and comfortable.

I would give this gown 10 stars if I could. I am definitely overweight and starting to show all the signs of aging, and this nightgown made me look and feel like a princess. Everything about this gown is superior quality, material is the heavier flowing fabric that doesn't catch easily on rough hands, the hem is well sewn and has a sweet ruffle effect to it, the braided straps, lace and buttons are flattering and look like they will handle a gentle wash cycle without casualties.... This Shadowline gown is so reminiscent of the quality penoir sets my mother had in the 60's, and although the two lace bodice gowns I purchased are also beautiful and flattering, I wish they had this same fabric. I am 5'4-1/2 inches and the bottom sits at my ankles exactly. I definitely will order the shorter gown in another color.

I love this gown so much it's a bit big I were a 3x so I ordered a 3x now I'm finna order a 2x and it will fit better in arm part I'm 295 big gal and I've been looking for something so a light too wear to bed and I've finally found it yessss I slept so good 😁 and it's not see through at all I'm finna order another one right now,I'm so happy 🎉
