Great quality product. Ok for the price. Received with squished female end of the paddle. It is a Pelican box, which is in perfect condition. Yet the one side has been bent oval. I have wrote Pelican directly and hope they rectify the issue. It OBVIOUSLY has to do with quality control in the manufacturing of the product. Needs more inspection and the time of boxing. PERIOD. Thanks.UPDATE. They sent roughly 30 automated emails stating that they're closed down and shipments will be delayed because of BC wild fires. TRY writing your customers back, spend a bit of money on Customer service. Thanks. Auto sent emails by the dozens? Makes no sense. UPDATE!!! The squished end is supposed to be there. THIS WAS EXPLAINED. The oval cross-section is called indexing. It offers a physically different shape along the shaft that helps you quickly position your grip at the appropriate spot along the shaft to align your grip with that of the powerface of the paddle. It also helps most paddlers maintain a more secure grip, with less fatigue.

Update: I have had the paddle a month now and I have noticed it has water in the pole. Not where it connects as I have broken it down to try and get it out. Seems to be between where the paddle itself is and the pole. Only on one side too. Anyone else experience this? It throws the weight off and puts extra strain on my one arm.I bought an inflatable kayak and wanted to upgrade the plastic paddle that came with it. Picked this paddle up during Prime days. I used it for the first time this weekend and noticed a big difference. The solid rubber doesn’t bend in the water, moves you forward well. It’s lightweight and easy to balance. I love the L shaped cuts in the paddles itself that allows the water to drip down there, reducing the amount for the drip rings to deal with. There was a lot less water in my cockpit using this paddle. It breaks down into two pieces for easy storage. I don’t currently fish but want to and know this paddle will be great for it. It has a line recovery spot on the paddle as well as a measuring tape on the pole. I’m glad I purchased it.

Let' start saying that the paddle looks good and feels good on the hands, also it's very light weight, I like the marked ruler to measure the fish also the rubberised tubes, I haven't been able to test it in the waters yet but I think it will be good how ever I am disappointed with the packaging it could've had been a bit better and avoid the damage tubes, the tubes look like they were pressed by some heavy weight, and due to the pressure caused one of them to loose the cylindrical/round shape, one of them is oval now, but if it wasn't because of that the paddle are nice, I just hope they hear me and add some foam to the packaging.

The original came damaged, a replacement was ordered, and was recieved damaged in the exact same way, in the same spot.Female half of paddle was crushed slightly out of round, not enough to break the coating, but enough to see and feel.Not the end of the world, I'll use the replacement damaged paddle only because I have to for time constraints, but I would never have bought it in the store seeing it in this condition, and I would have returned the replacement if I didn't need it right away.

This was a great addition to my fishing kayak. My previous paddle was nice but it was a one piece storing was a hassle. my yak is a FeelFree Lure 13.5 so I need a longer paddle, and this fit the bill.This paddle is very lightweight for its length. Comfortable in the hand, almost feels soft and velvet like.The only downside I could find is with the incorporated fish ruler, which is a great addition to a paddle, however if you change the paddle angle the measure guide doesn't line up , not an issue if you use 0 Deg feathering.Other than that love this paddle.
