GREAT BOOK!
The book Hilo was a great book. The book takes place in a big city, at Dj's house and in Hilo's secret layer. In the book, Hilo is a robot that crashed on earth from another dimension. In the book Hilo had lost his memory but get back bits and pieces. Hilo becomes friends with Dj and Gina. Hilo remembers that there is a robot called Razorwark that wants to defeat him. Hilo finds out that Razorwark was coming to Earth to try to defeat him. Razorwark tries to come to Earth to defeat Hilo but gets stuck in a portal because he is too big to get through it. Razorwark is stuck so he decides to send other robots instead to Earth to defeat Hilo. Hilo will need the help of Dj and Gina if he is going to defeat them. Hilo saved the parts from the robots he destroyed. Hilo used the extra parts from some of the destroyed robots and made a robot friend for himself. Hilo is a kind robot and doesn’t like to destroy the robots that Razorwark is sending to Earth unless he has to. Instead of destroying them, Hilo just pushes them back into the portal where they came from. In one of his battles Hilo tried pushing some of the robots back into the portal where they came from. When he did this his friend Gina got sucked into the portal also because she was standing to close to it. We won't know what happens to Gina until we read the next book. The book doesn't have a resolution. It leaves you hanging until you read the next book to find out what happens to Gina. We also won’t know if Hilo succeeds in destroying all of the robots. The book Hilo leaves us with a lot of questions which I enjoy. I like that it has a lot of action and adventure. It made me want to get the next book to see whathappened next.Alex

Highly recommend! A family friendly action comic book!
Highly recommend this book series! I read this book series outloud to a 6 and 7 yo and they loved every minute of it. And honestly I really enjoyed it too! The last book in the series has a sad part which another reviewer mentioned so if you have sensitive kids it might be worth warning them first. I highly recommend this book series!!!

Great books
We loved this series! My son is 8 and I read to him every night. We loved the character Hilo. The books are great. Not all books that I read to him are fun and enjoyable for me but this one definitely was fun for both of us.

Less screen time
Eight, nine year old grandson loved these. Gets him away from a screen and into a book.

Great, engaging illustrations
Great, engaging illustrations. Irreverent and funny without being disrespectful or gross. Promotes a very subtle message of empowerment and diversity while telling the funny and heartwarming story of a little boy alien who ends up on earth knowing nothing about our strange planet. My 9 YO boy loves to read this to me and the reading level is good for him if a little challenging (some bigger words). We love HiLo!

BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!
I love this book series. In this book I loved polly he or she was funny and weird but also very brave. I got sad when polly had to leave. Also why'd ya have to leave us on a cliffhanger I mean like WHAT THE HECK DUDE! And I think you made it alittle to wary. But other than that this book series is amazing. p.s. please bring polly back.

Fun graphic novel
I got this for my 9 year old after he finished the first one. He loved this sequel. He read it twice, reread the first one and then read this a third time. We'd like to thank Judd Winick for coming to Walt Disney Magnet School in Chicago, sharing his time and fostering an interest in graphic novels in my son and his class. If you ever come back, he's got another book for you to sign.
