This is such an awesome Rod. It’s lightweight and very, very strong.

This rod will pull a small beluga whale no problem!!I once hooked on a blue whale and fight it for six hours and my line snapped, not the rod. I’m pretty sure ninjas used those back in the day.All jokes aside, it’s very well built and gets you the action that every fisherman’s looks for

Solid surf rod
I feel like I can cast this thing with more weight than it is rated for. It is a solid surf rod.My only issue is the play at the tip. I find it hard casting heavy bait, not getting the distance i should. Probably my problem since I don't have as much time with it to perfect my cast.I've been mainly using my stiffer 10 footer. It sends whatever I got on the end where I want it.I still bring this rod out when I'm trying to have a spread.
