Balanced Sound, Nice Build Quality, Good Aesthetics
I AM really pleased with these headphones.. I already have a pair of old Sony MDR-CD280 (cheapos), and an old pair of Sennheiser HD-580 (not so cheap).. both open backs.. I actually bought these Philips to test for my niece, to see if it will work with a record player build I'm doing, and if I didn't like them, I'd send them back, if I liked them, I was going to give them to her.. I didn't think I'd be keeping them and buying another pair for her! I like these that much. Sound profile from low to high is different than my cheap Sony phones.. more bottom end, less emphasis on the top.. more balanced.. not quite the equal of the Sennheisers in high frequencies but the Philips cost a fraction - so not really a fair comparison - you'll still get the highs and they come through sweet enough. Honestly, if I were forced to use these headphones as my main pair, I'd be happy. Good value for the performance, in my opinion. Good build quality, the leather (or pleather?) is nice and soft. I like the understated looks of these as well. Very satisfying purchase.

Muy cómodos con sonido Hi-Res
Tiene buen nivel de graves, son muy cómodos aunque no apreta bien en las orejas, el audio de hi-res se escucha limpio y de gran calidad.

Great sound
Nice pair of headphones for mid-price range. Good sound acoustics. Treble range is quite clear and can even make out a singer whispering in a song playback. Mid-range is also clear and audible. Bass initially I thought was low but after hearing and comparing with another pair of Sony headphones I have it became apparent after listening a few times that the bass is actually deeper and more subtle. Fit is a little tighter than what I'm used to but still quite comfortable. Cups over the ear and doesn't put pressure directly on the ear itself which I appreciate. Overall, a good product and great sound.

Good price, but not so good performance
For $24 used, these headphones are not bad. I was looking for headphones that were not particularly noise isolating, but crisp in terms of frequency ranges and these were not the headphones I was looking for. The bass is extremely good, but it does sound a bit muddy in flat equalization at higher volumes. The treble/mids were not fantastic, but acceptable. The bass on flat eq is much punchier than than the treble and highs. The highs were underwhelming in frequency response, often drowned out by the large 40mm drivers that these headphones have.Update 2/19/2021:I thought it over again and decided to upgrade my rating to four stars based on two premises1)EQ settings can be changed per your desired setting, so this is something that you can work with in terms ofthe drivers..2)The headphones, even at normal eq levels, are amazing once you get acclimated to them and accustomed to them. It takes time listening to lobsided frequency responses, but it is really effecting my judgement in terms of what I should expect out of better OEMs.Do not get me wrong, these are still really good transitory OEMs, but I would not use them for precision, but accuracy in personal use and customized EQ levels, sure. At $25.99 from some vendors, that price is a steal for nice sanitary, barely used and minorly scuffed headsets.I found the material and build quality to be simple, but painful to wear for long periods of time. The ear muffs cover my ears completely besides my ear lobes and for perspective, I'm a large and tall guy with a large head, so that's not too concerning to me. I bought two pairs of these used for $24 and I feel like I got what I paid for -- an intermediary stop gap between cheap OEMs and professional quality OEMs.There is a lot to be desired in terms of the crispness of the driver material and the driver materials are somewhat questionable in this headset.I recommend that you purchase these at your discretion with these ideas in mind:-Flat EQ is bass heavy-These will get uncomfortable after fifteen minutes or so of wearing-Mids and Highs suffer at expense of Bass response
