Great laptop
I’ve had my laptop for a few months now and I have to say I have no real complaints. Despite some of the other reviews, I received exactly what I ordered new in box. The seal on the box had been broken but only for them to add their flyer in the box. None of the screws had tooling marks and upon startup there was no evidence the machine had ever been turned on. Even when you factory reset a comp there are traces left behind. The machine is fast and I’ve had no issues running any games that I have played on it, although this was not primarily purchased to be a gaming laptop.Minor complaints; The speaker sound is horrendous. Use a Bluetooth speaker if wanting to use the speakers otherwise you’re not going to hear much and definitely no quality. The fans being on the bottom of the laptop require there to be a lip underneath to ensure sufficient airflow. Acer could have done a better job. Use a laptop stand with airflow ports or make one yourself.Aside from that, when it comes to the performance of the machine, I have no complaints.

First laptop I have loved
I typically do not like laptops, especially the keyboards. This keyboard feels like a real keyboard. I love it.If you push the cpu/gpu, the fans can get a tad loud. Battery life is not as good as my old Dell, but this has a bigger screen and more processing power. If you need 6+ hour battery life, I don't think you are going to get that here. I'm guessing 3-6 hours depending on your settings. This is truly a great laptop. Again, love the feel of it and the keyboard. Surprisingly light for how big it is. Screen looks great. It's very quite and cool unless your gaming (even while gaming its not that loud, can't hear it with headsets on).

Great little gem for Warzone/Vanguard and Battlefield2042
This is for the Acer Nitro 5 AN517-54-77KG --- I got this for portable gaming since I'm in transition and needed something to play on the go and do other tasks with like video editing and coding, first I have to say I'll always recommend a gaming desktop for serious gaming, but this is a great device I haven't had an issue with it holding it's on with the latest Warzone Pacific, Vanguard, Halo, and Battlefield 2042 besides being on a smaller screen then I'm used too, it's pretty mint and I do use it all the time, the fans are loud when gaming or using high resources like all gaming laptops, cause that CPU and GPU gets really hot obviously, and the processor throttles at about 2.3-2.4 Ghz but does boost up to 4.6ghz, you can over clock by undervolting from what I've seen on YouTube but it's a laptop so do it at your own risk. I run all my games on the SD and then some, I like to use an external HD for everything else until I can put another SD in it, Lastly the battery the battery is always a "CON" with gaming laptops unless you want to drop like $5k if you're gaming plug it in cause I don't think I'd get 2 hours playing hell I'd probably get like 3.5 hours watching videos, over all I'm very happy with this an is what I expected for a little over $1k

Great except battery life
This review is regarding the AN517-54-77KG model.Laptop is fantastic for a lot of things.Only 3 negatives about it:1. Battery Life is terrible (I elaborate below)2. No way to leave keyboard lit up all the time. It turns on when you press a key, and turns off after maybe 30 seconds tops.3. The keyboard layout isn't the best (elaborated below)1. Elaborated:The battery life is ~2 hours when only watching a movie on wifi with the screen brightness at a tolerable level. Even putting it at minimum brightness and setting the system to 'maximum battery life' it lasted about 3 hours and 15 minutes, again only streaming video.I still like it for what I use it for, I can have it plugged in 9/10 times that I use it anyway so it's fine for me. BUT if you are looking to get a laptop to use a lot when it can't be plugged in, I'd look elsewhere.2. Elaborated:Having a numpad is a must for me personally, so this is great for that, but they sacrificed some things to make space. I hit the up arrow keys a lot when going for the right shift or ctrl keys. Delete feels a bit out of place too personally. I'm sure this is fine if/when you get used to it, but if you use other computers often, you won't get used to it.
