Q: Can the TV be mounted on the backside so the screen side folds to the ceiling ?

We mounted it that way on the ceiling of our RV. Worked great.

not 180 degrees, But there is some swivel built in.

Q: can this be mounted backwards desktop instead of ceiling

I'm pretty sure it could the only question I would have is the mount for theback of the TV if it can be reversed upside down or universal either way... the base is extremely strong its been in my RV for about 4 months now and not moved at all
